Why can't you buy semi-proffesional and amateur players?

I don't know if this question has been asked before, but I was just wondering if anyone knew why you can't by semi-proffesional or amateur players or get loans for them. If their is a way could someone please help me. Thanks.

I don't really get what you mean. When i click on a player there is no option.

Well, the idea of "buying" a player is really purchasing their contract, because amateurs don't have a contract, you cannot buy it out

Sometimes there is no option to sign players and I don't really know why. But usually you can just do "Approach to Sign" on amateurs and do a regular transfer for a player on a part-time contract.

Greyed-out players are just there to make up the numbers and cannot be bought or sold from another club. You can, however, offer them contracts when they are on your own team.

In that case, they are only there to make sure teams have enough players to play games. Try it for yourself, empty your reserve squad and a few players will be created.

Really, that's cool. Oh well. Some amateur clubs have really good U18's. It would be cool to see that in FM 11.
