Change in Financial Situation

Recommended Posts

Just read that the parachute payments to relegated EPL clubs has been extended to 4 years, with West Ham chairman David Gold predicting payments of 48m over 4 years.

This clearly gives any relegated EPL side a big boost in terms of immediate promotion back to the EPL, with squads already in a decent standard, backed by money, leaves clubs like Blackpool, Plymouth etc quite far behind top clubs (not saying these aren't decent!!).

Do we get these parachute payments in the game, whether it's the old 2 year plan or the 4 year plan? Would be interesting for smaller clubs in game.

Thanks

Yes, parachute payments are in the game. It even features the redistribution of parachute payments for clubs who go on to gain promotion back to the Premier League, which is quite handy if you are a small club.

Looks like we'll have to wait until June for a decision on the new 4 year plan though.
