Copying a save game

Recommended Posts

Quick question, and probably very simply answered.

Recently my laptop decided to die, so I've been playing FM on the desktop. I've grown attached to the game. If I wanted to copy it over to my laptop, would it be as simple as just e-mailing the .fm file (aka the save file) to myself, or is there anything else I'd need to send?

Nope, its that simple.

Just make sure that you copy it back into the correct file on the other machine and that both machines are running the same version.

I agree with Richard as well that a USB stick is the best way.

I'd also recommend a usb stick. If you really must use email then I would first suggest that you download a free program called hjsplit which will split the save file into more managable chunks. You can then use the same program to rejoin the save file.
