Removing Sergio Canales future transfer?

Hey, how do I remove Sergio Canales future transfer?

I've unticked the data file in preferences but he is still going to Real Madrid. Anything else I need to do?

Sorry if this has already discussed, I've searched but not found anything.

same thing happened to me, i couldnt tell you why, only that we have probably missed something. btw, canales ends up one of the very best in the game

Try using the editor to remove it. It really isn't that complicated.

Go to Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\data\updates\update-1030\db\1030\edt. There's a file "future_transfer_canales.edt" which you can edit in notepad. Personally I haven't tried it though.

That folder doesn't seem to exist on my computer?

If you're using the Steam then the path is different.

I've removed the data file and found the editor to remove it ... yet it is still there when I start the new game?!

same here, I have removed the edt file and changed it in the editor but it is still there in the game! So silva_gunner I'm guessing it is slightly more complicated than you thought

Just change it on FMRTE.

why would you change it when he is signing for them

Can you change the club he goes to instead. I have never used the editor before but would love to see him at Liverpool.

I've opened FMRTE but can't see a way to remove his future transfer. I only seem to be able to change where he goes so that's one way round it to make his future transfer to Racing (his present club) for no money.

folder. And canales is STILL going to real madrid. Any advice?

When you make changes to the database in the editor, you have to save it as a database file.

When you set up a new game you have to make sure that you include database file by clicking in the small check box in the pop up screen.

It should take you to a page where your datavase file should be listed and you can add it there.
