My FM10 had been working fine since it came out; then suddenly when i tried to open it as normal i got an error message saying 'XML parsing error'. Not knowing how to deal with this i uninstalled the game completely.

Now whenever I put the disk in to try and reinstall it; nothing happens at all, but the computer recognises that the FM10 disc is in as it is shown the the my computer section but it just wont launch..

Any suggestions/help on how to solve this?
Will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried going to My Computer, right clicking the drive the DVD is in and clicking Open to see if this will kick start the installation?

I would suggest you write down the exact XML Parsing Error you are getting and then post the fault in the Technical Issues forum for a SI bod or Sega bod to look into it further.

No probs, another option if it happens is to try the below:

How to delete your cache files

First of all you need to turn on hidden files and folders. Go to My Computer and at the top select 'Tools' then 'Folder Options'. Then go to the 'View' tab and select 'Show hidden files and folders'

Windows XP:
1. Open 'My Computer'
2. Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\Application Data\
3. Go into the 'Sports Interactive' folder
4. Delete any 'Football Manager' folder

Windows Vista:
1. Click 'Start'
2. Click your username on the Start Menu
3. Click on 'AppData' and then 'Roaming'
4. Go into the 'Sports Interactive' folder
5. Delete any 'Football Manager' folder

Mac OSX
1. Open Finder
2. Select <User>
3. Navigate to Library\Caches\Sports Interactive
4. Remove any “Football Manager” Folder

The editor data folder is located

PC – My Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2010 > editor data

MAC – Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2010 > editor data
