Dont know if this is a bug or not

I'm managing Austria Wien (Vienna) in the Austrian Premier league and have progressed through to the semi-finals of the Austrian Cup semi-Finals. The team to be each year is Red Bull Salzburg, but I noticed they were not into the semi's. Just out of interest I thought I'd see who knocked them out in the 1/4 finals... but they were not there....OK who knocked them out in the 3rd round then....but they did not play in the 3rd round...and neither the 2nd round?

They have won the Premier League in the last two seasons but is there a ruling saying they cant enter the Austrain Cup for some reason now (as they did last year, because they beat me in the final 4-1)

...or is this a bug?

Hopefully someone who understands Austrian football more than i do can explain why Red Bull Salzburg have not entered the cup it seams in season 2010/2011 in my game... or if this is indeed a bug.
