Tactics Help

Hi

I am starting to get to grips with tactics slightly, as when I was younger I never really thought about it, and just played a team, and stuck with it... So now I have a fewer questions.....

First of all Your oppositions Formation

I generally play a 4-4-2 formation, should I change that if the opposition is playing a diamond or 4-3-3? Because generally my 4-4-2 formation works better when they are playing the same formation as me. What should I do, should I have the same formation as them, shall I change roles around?

Secondly Watching other teams

Say if I watch my oppositions previous game, or games... What can I look for? What types of things should I look for, to adapt my formation to fit them?

Finally Dealing with key players

Say if the opposition has got a rapid striker, and I have one slow and one quick defender, what should I do which one should mark him and how, tight not tight?

Ya... am try the tactics forum?

1) I used to change my formation a lot. Now I always start with the same one. I do a lot better now.

2) see above.

3) I personally don't do individual instructions. Some people swear by them. So...
