dan_lcfc
A one yard tap in after a goalkeeping howler. I was so pleased. So, what is the longest goal drought one of your players has been on?
bomma
30 hours. I was going to drop him after the match and what does he do? Score a last minute 25 yard equaliser. Glorious.
dan_lcfc
Is a player still a striker after that long?
bomma
I think he was being spiteful because I refused to give him a new contract. Justified IMO.
dan_lcfc
Haha. My guy had only signed a new contract at the start of the season. Gave him a wage rise beacause of his decent form last season. Will have to think harder next time I hand out contract extensions...
Dalimyr
Kyle Lafferty had a 16-hour goal drought for me...to be fair, though, I'd only ever be worried if Kris Boyd went on a goal drought. All my other strikers can (and do) play as wingers in addition to playing as strikers. I'm considering retraining Boyd as an AMC so that he's got a bit of versatility as well. phd_angel
Droughts are very disappointing. Is there anything we can do to stop them?...
Sr. Luria
My longest was 90 hours. His shots kept on bouncing off the bars.
charlo116
My longest was 90 hours. His shots kept on bouncing off the bars. seriously? Thats 60 games, why would you keep him around if he hadn't scored for an entire season?
BrightLad5
25 Hours - he scored 2 in that game The other player who came off a drought scored 3 in the same match and that brought him off a 16 hour drought
GioGio85
seriously? Thats 60 games, why would you keep him around if he hadn't scored for an entire season? haha very good point
hugo_rune
I'm pretty sure that my inside forwards playing AMR and AML score more goals each than my centre forward My 'striker' isn't really there to score goals, he's there to disrupt the defense! That said, the longest goal drought I can recall is 12 hours.
trekman
I once re-signed Guiseppe Rossi for Man U and he never scored a single goal in any competition all season. I personally call that one hell of a goal drought. Obviously I got rid of him asap.
