Is there a playing style to avoid injuries?

Recommended Posts

I am not talking about effective training, reducing training, effective squad rotation, or substituting players once their stamina levels get below 75%.

I read somewhere (from a number of places) that things like:

- tackling hard

- running from deep/or running with ball often

- closing down often

... will increase the risk of injuries!

My understanding is that:

- if you close down often, quality payers will take advantage of holes in your defence

- running with ball will invite tackling by opposition

- tackling hard will invite the referee showing red cards!

Is there any truth to the above?

Most importantly, is there a way of playing that reduces injuries?

Thanks in advance for your highly thought out, practical, and well educated response ofcourse

Most of my team is on hard tacklnig yet it's the strikers who are on easy tackling who get injured the most. The tackled player should be the one getting injured not the tackler so I don't see how easy tackling could help at all.
