Post-it note

Just wondering if anyone out there is like me and jots their tactics down or players stats onto a post-it note or peice of paper whilst playing FM and then by the end of an FM session your desk is surrounded by scribbled notes or drafted tactics or players stats etc?

My missus complains about the "pointless bits of paper laying around"

I've got a notebook by my computer that I use for tactics, the different player roles I need for each player, new signings, and other stuff like that.

Since FM10 came out, I've gone through 15 of the 160 page ones.

I've got a notepad i use when playing FM :o

The tactics and players stats are all on the screen, so I have no need to write them down.

I do the same as Vic.

I've been meaning to get a notpad for this kind of thing......... to the shop!

I used to have pages and pages of notes, but I don't know if its all that brain training I do or just less visits to 'Dam but I don't seem to need them so much anymore.

What sort of things do you make notes of? I can see it being useful for transfers etc. but apart from that I'm thinking I'd have to write mega-detailed notes for them to be useful... Fixtures, injuries etc. and I can just check those on the screen (even if it would be nice to have them written down).

I have one but by the end of the save it's usually filled with profanities about my useless players or how Bas Savage suddenly rips apart my Prem defence.

I tend to make notes of where it goes wrong in games and how i am conceding goals or letting the opposition get through too easily etc. I also jot down players who i like the look of during games and then go and scout them after the game has finished.

Also draw tactics on how i can counter the opposition

I don't think any of us can exactly claim to be winners now, can we?

Actually sounds like a pretty good idea, although most the goals I conceed tend to be due to gross incompetence.

Orange sticky note pad for me,if it's a note i really need to keep an eye on then i'll stick it to the monitor till it's no longer needed.

I write out my teams occasionally, especially where it's the end of the season and I am preparing for what players to get in the close season.

Also occasional reminders if I need to do a task and I am off out/saving game

I don`t use post it notes or a notepad mainly because all of the info seems to be on the game already.

I used to use loads of post-it-notes and little scattered pieces of paper, especially when I was managing Ivory Coast and thinking of players who could be called up that were previously in the international wilderness. Now, I use a small notebook which is always handy to have in case there is something I forget to do when I return to the game after a few days away.

I tend to jot my formations down and list the players I'm looking to sell in the summer....usually some unknown reserve team players that I may forget about after a few months...so jot it down on some paper!

Haha I have done this for years I have loads of notes around my desk with players tactics etc. My friend and I were talking about exactly this a few months ago. We thought we were the only ones

I should really use a note pad and just jot it down, but I don't I always think I'll remember, but I often forget.

The only thing I ever wrote down was a top 5 ranking of players for each position and my ideal squad that I try to achieve.

Yep i have a notepad too. The Mrs always gives me a funny look when i start to write things in it to do with the game.

I used to write down transfer targets but now I just use the notes in game.

Ive done it before for when ive been a match and wrote down my assistants advice for things, but fat lot of good it did me.

Esepcially when i manage a team where i don't know the players i use one. but i use it to draw the tactics tree with the best players and note any players that i must remember to check out later.

I agree I use the notepad a lot if I manage a team that I don't know the players......In fact I'm using it now for my Austria Wien (Vienna) side....

past years i was writing down the results of my games too. just for statistics!

I am now interested in this idea of writing down certain things as often i forget in the game.
