buying players over time

i usuually buy all my players cash up-front, but i tried to do the monthly installments thing only to find that unless i had 20 million in the budget, i couldnt spend 20 million on a player.

im sure ive missed something here, help?

yes, you have to pay half up front (according to some people) + a % depending on the months

You have to pay the amount/months. So if you're paying 20M over 18 months that works out 1.11M a month. That means you need 12*1.11M in your budget (13.3M).

If you were to spread it over 48M, you'd need 5M in your budget. (and 5M will be taken out of your budget the next three years as well.

That's why it matters. Where did you think the money would come from?

You don't have to pay up front if you're only paying monthly payments. You do need to have the first year's worth of payment in your transfer budget.
