Suge
In the year 2012 in my game and Reading are in the Premiership after being promoted last season. With 4 games left to play they are 8 points from safety and looking likely to go down. Sounds pretty normal so far, right? I just randomly checked their transfer history and since they've been in the Prem they've spent £45.5m on players and only sold £110K worth. Brendan Rodgers has been managing them since the start of the game. I'm sorry but how the hell is he still in charge? If a club spends nearly £50m on players and goes down wouldn't they be in danger of going into admin? How can any chairman stick by a manager in these circumstances? Surely money outweighs any loyalty that has been built up? After all, the existence of the club is far more important.

Cometdude
They'll be in administration if they go down and can't make ends meet but the fact is that some chairmen out there will stick by the manager until relegation is assured.
Tomer
Sounds like they gambled and lost.
the_gaming_guy
NOOOOOO....not my club!!! £50m pretty much guarantees that Madejski isn't chairman anymore though.
heathxxx
Arguably, Bryan Robson spent a considerable amount at the time with Middlesbrough, they were relegated, but he brought them back up. Depends entirely on the chairman, their expectations, the depth of their pockets...
Xechs
it was their first season up right? well the chairman was probably expecting relegation, that coupled with the fans probably love him would keep him safe
