After being up 4-0 at half time in a cup game, I tell my squad to 'Not let their performance drop'.

They understand this to mean conceded 3 goals in the first 10 mintues of the second half?!?!?

I never use that team talk, it nearly always has a bad effect on players.

Marine Update Season 2008/2009

After building an entire team and getting Everton as my parent club it took a while for the team to gel. The frist half of the season was ok, with a good start followed by a run of 4 straight defets we dropped to 13th in the table. However after christmas we went on a fantastic run of 3 defets in 25 games that meant we ended the season in 3rd place.

Playoffs

We played our rivals Southport away and after goals from top scorer Sam Higgins and another from onloan Jose Baxter led me to a 2-1 win away from home.
The home leg ended 1-1 which meant we were in the Playoff final

In the final we played Histon who had finished 2nd in the league, and we hadn't beat in the league. In fact after 2-2 away they destroyed us 5-1 at Rosset Park. So to say I was a little concerned that my promotion would come down to a game against Histon was an understatement!LOL

Playoff Final

In a very tight game that saw Histon take an earlt two goal lead and both my strikers, Higgins and baxter, go off injured I was relived to pull a goal back through another loanee Steven Conner. After pushing on at the start of the 2nd half we were rewarded with a goal in the 68th min from our left winger Sean Talyforth. As I was planning for extra time Histon went 3-2 up with only 6 mins to go, so I went all out attack and in the 94th min Steve Conner pulled it back to 3-3!
With no goals in extra time my promotion had come down to pens...........Which I won 3-1! So Promotion in my first season.

AFC Wimbledon Season update - Season 6 (2013/2014)

To Begin....

Jozef Sedlak has been fantastic in the U-18s this season scoring 53 goals in 55 starts, it looks like he will be a fantastic player for us in a couple of years time. THe big signing of the season though has to be myself signing on for another 4 years, I have recieved a new wage of £2,200 p/w and I am expected to have us safe in the Championship in four years time so the targets are pretty easy.

League One Prediction - 15th
League One Position - 1st
F.A Cup - 4thd Round (Knocked Out)
League Cup - 3rd Round (Knocked out)
JP Trophy - Quarter Final (Knocked Out)

League One - Graph (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/ohmylife92/LeagueOneGraph201314.jpg) - Table (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/ohmylife92/LeagueOneTable201314.jpg)

League One : Fantastic season, it'll be great to be in the Championship and should help stop the daily rumour mill that goes on about my players.

F.A Cup : We were solid until we met Arsenal which is pretty fair I think, we got a lucky draw in the first round against BSP side Billericay, despite this my lads weren't at their best and only drew 1-1 away before eventually winning 3-0 in the replay at Kingsmeadow. In the second round we drew fellow League One side Greys Athletic and proceeded to win 3-2. We have drawn our feeder club Weymouth in the 3rd Round and it was a game I expected us to win and we won 1-0. We then met our parent club Arsenal in the 4th round and proceeded to lose 4-1, it did bring alot of money in though as we made £1.6 million profit in that month.

League Cup : Could have been worse (Nep :p) going out in the third round wasn't bad but I had been hoping to get a bit further. In the First Round we destroyed League One Side Rushden 6-0 with Adriano getting his first Hattrick. In the Second Round our luck of the draw ended as we drew Championship side Nottingham Forest, luckily though we played well and progressed after a late goal. In the third round we were given an even tougher draw that eventually ended ou run, we travelled to the Riverside hoping to get something out of the game agianst 8th placed Premiership side Middlesbrough and we nearly did, We led 1-0 until the 87th minute when Bruce Djite hit a double to send us crashing out the cup.

Johnstones Paint trophy : We failed to live up to the successes of the past two seasons in which we reached the final twice and won once. We beat League One side Barnet in the 2nd round before being beaten by another League One side Crystal Palace in the Quarter Final.

Manager of the year (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/ohmylife92/Manageroftheyear201314.jpg) - Me

League One Select XI (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/ohmylife92/SelectXI201314.jpg) - Emre Sahin, Robert Smith and Nabil El Zhar

Players of the Season so far

Adriano (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/ohmylife92/AdrianoJanuary2014.jpg) - I was shocked and excited when he agreed to sign and so far he's certainly lived up to the excitement, his goals have been vital in our promotion push which is good as he has a £0 non - promotion clause. Hopefully he can stay at this level for another couple of years, by which time I'll hopefully be high enough to sign someone as good/better than him

John Simpson (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/ohmylife92/JohnSimpsonJanuary2014.jpg) - He's finally got a permanent strike partner which should certainly help him with consistency and goalscoring. He had a slow start but he started banging them in whilst Adriano was in one of his regular Droughts and has continued since.

Nabil El Zhar (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/ohmylife92/NabilElZharJanuary2014.jpg) - Once again he's been brilliant, he's scoring goals, getting assists and he's got the highest average rating in our team so he's certainly been a big players for us this year.

Robert Smith (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/ohmylife92/RobertSmithJanuary2014.jpg) - I've said all I could possibly say about this lad, he really is too good for this league when you look at his attributes but thankfully he's not ambitious, IMO he'll probably still be with us when we're fighting for the Premiership title a few years down the line.

Season Summary

A brilliant season so . We held on to 1st place which was fantastic, I'm going to have to strengthen the side quite a bit over the summer but I'm confident that we will stay up.

NO, NO, NO! I hate you Samuelson :( FFS (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/ohmylife92/Robertsmithofferaccepted.jpg)

Hehe, I can understand the frustration with him, although he's not as bad as michaeltmurrayuk's board so you can't be too upset.

If it helps, or more likely scares you to death, he sold a young left back of mine for £700k. Two years later, he's signed for Chelsea for over £11m and goes on to play 40+ caps for England. :(

Once you get stable in the Premiership, you'll find he's not too bad, especially with anyone who's a first teamer.

Very true, I'm a bit jealous myself, would have loved to get one of the big teams as a parent but our location just didn't allow it.

I stopped complaining to the FA a long time ago as I don't think I've ever once been right. It's easier in the long run as it doesn't land you with any touchline bans.

Destroyed St. Albans 7-0 in the first match of the season behind 4 goals from Rhys Murphy. I don't expect the rest of the season to be this easy but it's a hell of a start!

I took over Hednesford because I did Chippenham last time and I fancied higher rep this time round. Still could have been worse - could have been AFC Wimbledon ;)

EDIT: it worked, three cheers.

Anyway I told the board I would get a top half finish although secretly I'm hoping for promotion. Wish me luck!

Yeah opinel is real crap unfortunately. Looks like he should be better but he has a propensity to pass to the wrong team :P

Billericay update season 3

August
The season began with a change of captain and formation because Hadji was retiring on the 25th of january i decided to give the captain armband to our promicing young right back 21 year old simmon Madden and i decided a switch from our defensive 5-3-2 which we had used in the first two seasons to a more basic 4-4-2 was in order. Our best start to a season to date saw us draw dag and red leaving us still serching for that opening day win. Unlike previous years we didnt with a 2-1 win over crawley coming next and to complete the hatrick of results we lost 1-0 in our first televised match of the season to aldershot who although we didnt know it at the ime would become our key title rivals. We completed the month with 2 wins to leave us in a good position for the rest of the season.

September
We continued our winning run with a 2-1 win over st albans a defeat to halifax followed before we got back to winning ways against oxford. Two draws followed against rochdale and Burton before we again finished the month with 2 wins.

October
October opened with 2 more wins before a boring 0-0 against Forest Green. We didnt take long to get back to winning ways though with Northwhich and grimsby being defeated. Our first cup match followed with the fa cup pitting us against Newport County who would go on that season to win the BSS. With this draw and the fact that it began to look like i was in a playoff battle i decided it would be a great chance to rest players and the one first teamer left in the starting line up harry forrester on loan from aston villa managed to score 2 goals to take us through 2-0.

November
Resting players didnt work though as we were beaten 1-0 by ebbsfleet. The FA cup gave us a tough first round draw with League 1 Port Vale are opponents. A 0-0 draw at there place was followed by a 2-0 home win for us putting us through to the FA cup 2nd round. A 4-1 league win over Cambidge set us in good sted to welcome another league 1 side to the New Lodge.

December
Luton were the opponents this time and we were hoping to make it two years running that we made it to the FA Cup 3rd round. It wasnt to be though as we went out 2-1 in a closeley fought game. Our November league form carried over to December with 2 more wins following before our FA Trophey game against llkeston which our second side managed to win 3-1. A second draw this season against Dag and Red followed in the league efore we played Woking in the Setanta shield 4th round. Unfortunately we lost 2-1 but this allowed me to focus more on the league and our final cup comeptetition.

January
A 2-1 win over Kettering started the new year well before we faced one of our two main title rivals Aldershot. Us Aldershot and Cambridge had pulled quite a big gap over the rest of the league and Cambridge and Aldershot saw this as a chance to take top spot off us. A 2-1 win over Aldershot kept us at the top though and it began to look like they may fall off us., 2 draws in the league for us though kept it very close at the top. We needed a replay to see us through our FA trophey 2nd round match against dag and red before we lost to Weymouth and beat St Albans.

February
Thsi month saw title rivals plummet off the battle at the top towards the scrap for playoff places. For us though the month began well with two wins against woking, one in the league and one in the cup. Two mroe league wins followed though leaving our total for the last 4 games at 9 goals scored 0 conceeded. We were brought down to earth though suffering defeats to Burton and Oxford. BSS Dorchester gave me a chance to test out my reserves as we beat them2-0 in the FA Trophey

March
By the time march started it was clear it was a two horse title race with me and Aldershot going head to head at the top. We began the month with a dissapointing draw at home to 3rd place York, before beating Kidderminster 3-0 and Droylsden 2-0. ebbslfleet were our opponents in the FA Trophey Semi Final a 1-1 draw at there place was followed by a 5-0 win in the league and a 0-0 draw at home in the cup putting us through on away goals. A 2-1 defeat to Grimsby who will be our opponents in the final meant that we wer know level on points at the top. We beat Norwhich 3-1 before losing to ebbsfleet meaning we were know 3 points off the pace

April
2 more wins a draw and a loss meant we went into the final 2 games 1 point from the top. An easy 2-1 win over Salisbury was made even better when it turned out 3rd placed York had beaten 2nd place Aldershot 5-1 leaving us two points clear with a superior goal difference. Our final game of the season wwas against kettering so i took a risk by playing a few of the fringe players to try and avoid us picking up injuries ahead of our trip to wembely. A 0-0 draw for both us and aldershot meant i was league champions. Unfortunately even resting players failed to avoid injuries as outr young influential CM Bayley picked up an injury in training and will be out for a month.

May
The FA Trophey final was opun us and it was the first time Billericay had ever made the final and there first appearence at Wembley.18000 people turned up to watch the final. Going in 2-0 at half time everything looked great until in the second half grimsby got 1 back. A penalty put us 3-1 away before we ourselves gave away a penalty and it was 3-2 with 6 mins remaining. At 90mins it was still 3-2 and there was an audiable groan from the coach of billericay when it was announced there would be 5 minuites of added time. Tankfully the score remained 3-2 and Billericay won there 2nd trophey of the season

AFC Wimbledon 2011-2012 (Coca-Cola League 2)

League 2

Media Prediction: 24th
Finishing Position: 17th (http://img237.imageshack.us/my.php?image=l2standingsay6.jpg)
FA Cup: 1st Round (lost to Barnet)
Carling Cup: we enjoyed participating in it at least lol (lost to Cardiff)
Johnstone's Paint Trophy: 2nd Round \o/ (defeated Barnet, lost to Brighton)

The Squad

Squad (http://img355.imageshack.us/my.php?image=squadut4.jpg)

It was an ok season for the team. We were contending in February when everything fell apart. Kazenga Lua Lua (http://img525.imageshack.us/my.php?image=kazengalualuajl2.jpg) broke his leg and the season went downhill from there. Not sure if any loan players this year will come back next year. The striker tandom of Dawkins and Young look good for next season (and I hope Olsen will come back next year). Currently shopping Cameron and Black as I look to upgrade my back four (I already signed Darius Charles on a free).

Goalkeepers

Michael Taylor (http://img522.imageshack.us/my.php?image=michaeltaylornr8.jpg) is gone. I tried to sell him but there were no takers. Harvey Scott (http://img184.imageshack.us/my.php?image=harveyscottdj4.jpg), and Andrew Armstrong (http://img244.imageshack.us/my.php?image=andrewarmstrongbu2.jpg) will battle it out to backup Shayne Barlow (http://img223.imageshack.us/my.php?image=shaynebarlowhr5.jpg). I also hope to get another goalkeeper reject in the July transfer window.

Defense

The back 4 most of the season consisted of Paul Black (http://img505.imageshack.us/my.php?image=paulblacknb4.jpg), Gary Elphick (http://img505.imageshack.us/my.php?image=garyelphickeh7.jpg), Ajet Shehu (http://img409.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ajetshehufi3.jpg), and Tyrone Cameron (http://img409.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tyronecameronhp0.jpg). However, I hope to sell Black along with Cameron to make way for youngsters Dan Bacon (http://img523.imageshack.us/my.php?image=danbaconmo9.jpg), and James Allen (http://img84.imageshack.us/my.php?image=jamesallenpn4.jpg) more playing time next year.

Midfield

Starting in my midfield are: Saulo Asajile (http://img178.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sauloasajilesj0.jpg), Craig Bentham (http://img390.imageshack.us/my.php?image=craigbenthamzn2.jpg), Jon Challinor (http://img222.imageshack.us/my.php?image=jonchallinormv5.jpg), and Maxi Gradel (http://img206.imageshack.us/my.php?image=maxigradelxq4.jpg). Overall, I think the midfield looks solid, with some youngsters like Karl Prout (http://img165.imageshack.us/my.php?image=karlproutio2.jpg), and Yaser Kasim (http://img294.imageshack.us/my.php?image=yaserkasimcb7.jpg).

Forwards

Only got 3 of them: Simon Dawkins (http://img84.imageshack.us/my.php?image=simondawkinswj8.jpg), Jonathon Obika (http://img184.imageshack.us/my.php?image=jonathonobikaya8.jpg), and Lewis Young (http://img244.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lewisyoungbu1.jpg). Hope to either get Obika or Olsen next season (or both:D).

Transfers

Transfers (http://img505.imageshack.us/my.php?image=transfersae4.jpg)

Many new players were brought in to avoid the drop back to Blue Square Premier.

LuaLua and Bentham were both found by my scout, so I signed them. Brought in many players on trial and signed some of them. If they don't make my first-team, then I can sell them for profit.

There's a clause in Scott Rhodes transfer that will net us US$110k if he scores 40 league goals. He scored 15 this year so hope he scores at least 25 with Hayes & Yeading next year:p

Michael Connor was an integral part of the team but the offer from Darlington was too good to turn down, and we had replacements in case he left. Darlington is going to League 1 next year, so good luck to him.

James Dalton was a spare part in this year's Sell-the-Backup-Goalkeeper for profit.

We also sold Terry Dunfield for free + 50% sell-on clause.

Key Players

Jonathon Obika, Lewis Young, Kazenga LuaLua, Gary Elphick, Dan Bacon

It really is up to you, there's no strict guidelines on how often you can update.

As a rule of thumb it should be once a season at the minimum but more frequent updates are welcome provided they don't clog up the thread and annoy people.

A mid season update followed by and end of season review would be a great way to go about it.

Real London Update - Season 22 (2029/2030)

To Begin....

Stadium Expansion (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/NepentheZ/Real%20London/Season%2022/StadiumExp9260.jpg) - An extra 9260 seats will be added on, taking my stadium up over the 40,000 mark.

Premiership Prediction - 8th
Premiership Position - 4th
F.A Cup - Quarter Final
League Cup - 2nd Round

Premiership - Graph (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/NepentheZ/Real%20London/Season%2022/LeagueGraph.jpg) | Table (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/NepentheZ/Real%20London/Season%2022/LeagueTable.jpg)

Premiership : A brilliant season. Fell off towards the middle/end of the season, and was about 15 points behind first place before a fantastic final run in saw me win 7 of 8 games, and finish just behind the leaders. 4th place or better is what I aimed for, and its what I got. Next season the top 2 is my aim, although winning the title is a real possibility for us if we buy a few more key players and keep consistent throughout the season.

F.A Cup : Another great season in the F.A Cup, although I'm yet to see the Semi-Final. For the 3rd time in 4 years, (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/NepentheZ/Real%20London/Season%2022/Palaceasswhopping.jpg) Crystal Palace have been the team to knock me out of this cup, and its starting to become boring when I draw them.

League Cup : Season after season I get battered about in this competition. Aldershot of League 1 were the team fortunate enough to draw us this season. Every year the little teams must be preying for Real London to come out of the hat for them, as they know its an easy passage through.

Best Elevens - Season (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/NepentheZ/Real%20London/Season%2022/BES.jpg) | Overall (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/NepentheZ/Real%20London/Season%2022/BEO.jpg)

Players of the Season

Raul Arguelles (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/NepentheZ/Real%20London/Season%2022/Arguelles.jpg) - Didn't play all that well at the end of the season, but definitely did at the start. Finished the season with 30 goals in 28 games.

Liam Lamb (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/NepentheZ/Real%20London/Season%2022/Lamb.jpg) - Pretty much Arguelles' replacement when he hit his dip in form, and scored the goals the Arguelles couldn't. Fits into the team perfectly, and is still very young.

Omar Cisneros (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/NepentheZ/Real%20London/Season%2022/Cisneros.jpg) - Always here. Another fantastic season for Assists, and his all round play seems to be coming along brilliantly.

GTAIV (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/NepentheZ/Real%20London/Season%2022/GTAIV.jpg) - Scored an impressive amount of goals. Even hit a hat-trick on his debut for Spain. Now seemingly a regular in the national side, his club game has also risen to an international level.

Season Summary
Aside from the League Cup, this was a ground breaking season. Champions League football, a great squad assembled, financially set and only looking to better things. I've already got my eye on 4 or 5 players I hope to sign for next season, and have been dropping a lot of the dead weight in the team thats getting on a bit now. If I can put a decent cup run together, and who knows, maybe even win one, that would be brilliant for next season, but my main aim for the season is to finish 3rd or higher and get into the Champions League Group Stages.

Congratz darren on promotion:thup:

AFC Wimbledon doing very well right now, currently 8th in League 2 after 10 games.:)

The whole seems wanted lol. Bought striker Jonny Dixon for US$75k, while selling Barlow (US$45k), Bacon (US$60k), Dale Bennett (US$20k), and Tyrone Cameron finally (US$35k).

Lewis Young has 6 goals in 12 games, Dawkins 5 in 7, and LuaLua 4 goals in 11 games.

Woo!! Two seasons, two promotions. Scraped through to league 2 on the last day of the season then won the semi and final by penalties in the playoffs.
Havent got anywhere near the amount of signings i wanted to but hopefully have enough to stay in the division. I think a few seasons building in this league is going to have to happen, cant rely on parent team, liverpool sending me players who are better than the rest of the division anymore.

Need some solid players at the back and i have no depth in full back positions, times like this i wish attribute masking was off but it des make the game more challenging than usual. As soon as i can scout europe i'll be happy...

Guiseley 2008-2009 Blue Square North

Okay guys, finished my first season (yesterday) and as there is nothing of any real relevance to report, I haven't done any screenshots.

BSN - 12th (media prediction 13th)
FA Cup - 2nd qualifying (the board were not happy bunnies!!)
Setanta - 1st Round
FA Trophy - 1st Round.

As I said, nothing major to report, except inconcistency!! especially at the start of the season.

My board takeover wrangled on for the majority of the season, I had a transfer embargo for around 6 weeks which was a bit of a pain. But not as annoying as when the takeover actually happened and the new board didn't see any need to invest any money...... for anything!!

Jay Rodriguez from my parent club Burnley was a revelation banging in 37 goals for me.... and a massive bonus is that Burnley have loaned me him again for the fortcoming season.

I have alot of rebuilding to do as alot of players left as well as my assman....... but he was, well, an "ass" anyway, so I'm off to recruit another right now as well as a few new players.

Hoping to be around the playoffs in the new season, but as we all know........ anything can happen and usually does!!!

Cracking challenge, by the way!!

Partly my fault for not tying down the contracts sooner, but I was unsure whether too keep them or not - then all of a sudden, I realised with my loanees returning and 5 players leaving, I was down to a first team "squad" of just 7 players!!!

Still, a better starting position than when I first joined Guiseley and had only half a dozen youth player and no back room staff!!

Onwards and (hopefully) upwards!!!

Top Scorer (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc157/Razer1982/Guiseley/Season%202%2009%20-%2010/Elliott.jpg)

We begin the season being named joint favourites for promotion and certainly start like title contenders. We win our first 5 games and 7 of the first 8 to sit undefeated on top of the league. An early goal and a poor performance see us beaten in the very next game away to Burton. We bounce back well to secure another 5 consecutive wins to stay at the top of the table. It was after a cup defeat that our indifferent form began, coupled with you inability to keep any form of clean sheet left us struggling to maintain the lead we’d built, but a 20 match unbeaten run took us towards the end of the season and promotion as champions!! Although our defence was awful the majority of the time, we conceded a massive 65 goals on our way to promotion we were able to offset that with an impressive 119 goals scored, with 51 of those coming from Tom Elliott.

Our FA Cup campaign got off to a bit of a shaky start where despite being 3-0 up against lowly Fleetwood, we allowed them to score 3 goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half to make the game rather closer than it should have been. We still managed to get the job done with another 3 goals of our own to progress by a score of 6-3, but it should have been a whole lot easier than it was. Halesowen awaited us in the 3rd qualifying round and things were much easier there as we coasted to a 2-0 victory to meet Harrogate in the 4 qualifying round. It turned out to be an awful performance in this match, we just weren’t able to keep Harrogate under control and were lucky to score the single goal that we did. Still, it’s just one less distraction for this season, but the fans are very unhappy about losing to one of our fierce rivals.

Our entry into the Setanta Shield was short lived this season, we lost our game 2-1 in extra time to Altrincham after having a winning goal disallowed for offside during normal time.

After a nervy 1-0 win over Chelmsford in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Trophy saw us through to a tie with Forest Green in the 1st round. I saw this game as a test of how we might get on if we managed to get promoted to the Blue Square Premier. It’s a shame to say that we failed this test with Forest Green winning easily 2-0 to knock us out of the competition. Still it was good to see the sort of teams that we should be competing with next season.

This year’s campaign was spearheaded by on loan striker Tom Elliott (52 Goals) (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc157/Razer1982/Guiseley/Season%202%2009%20-%2010/Elliott.jpg) who smashed all previous scoring records for the club, including scoring an amazing 7 goals (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc157/Razer1982/Guiseley/Season%202%2009%20-%2010/7-3Victory.jpg)in one game, so he deserved the Player of the Year (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc157/Razer1982/Guiseley/Season%202%2009%20-%2010/PlayeroftheYear.jpg) award. He was joined up front by Norman Fowler (28 Goals) (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc157/Razer1982/Guiseley/Season%202%2009%20-%2010/Fowler.jpg) and backed up when needed by Liam Caddick (11 Goals) (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc157/Razer1982/Guiseley/Season%202%2009%20-%2010/Caddick.jpg). As predicted last season Danny Hatton (20 Assists & 16 Goals) (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc157/Razer1982/Guiseley/Season%202%2009%20-%2010/Hatton.jpg) came into his own this season and was a constant threat from midfield. Also playing well in midfield this year were Mark Thomson (8 Assists) (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc157/Razer1982/Guiseley/Season%202%2009%20-%2010/Thomson.jpg) and Oliver Senior (7 Assists) (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc157/Razer1982/Guiseley/Season%202%2009%20-%2010/Senior.jpg) who was another break out player along with Hatton.

Once the season was over and managers were getting the sack, I seemed to be linked to every job going, including Cheltenham, Bournemouth, Brentford and Luton. Needless to say, I won’t be going anywhere.

My main aims for next season are to improve the depth of the squad, we are lacking quality back ups at a number of positions. Also I’d like to stay in the Blue Square Premier – my contract will be up at the end of next season and relegation would seriously affect my chances of a new deal.

The islanders turn up every season around about 20th September. All you need to do is filter a player search by unattached players and organise it by nationality. Then take all the players on trial to see who's any good.

Hi all

Well i have had a total nightmare with this game because my pc crashed was totally knackered so as a result have had to buy a new pc, so have invested in a laptop and i am now back amongst it as far as this challenge is concerned. HAVE to do it before the new game is out.

Anyway after numerous re-loads of the game i have decided to crack on with AFC Wimbledon. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v228/chelseadaft/Season1/Profile.jpg

So here goes my report for my first season!

Chelseadaft AFC Wimbledon 2008-2009 Blue Square South - 2nd & Promotion!

I started off the game looking at the vast amount of players in the squad which anyone else who has taken the plunge would understand. I decided to keep the current Ass Man and use his opinion on players to keep and to get rid of. Silly amounts of money on wages were being paid to overrated players so decided to get rid of the rubbish and utilise the best players.

I also straight away asked the board to find me a parent club. They came back with three options, Arsenal, Fulham and Brentford. Obviously Brentford were out of the question, and call me crazy i rejected Arsenal. This was purely because of the amount of other clubs they were linked with, so i would be limited with loanee options etc. So i created the link with Fulham. Straight away they sent me a promising GK and also a young winger which helped boalster my side.

I also took the opportunity to sign more of their players, 2 forwards, 2 full backs a centre half and a MRC for 3 months each to help with a steady start, By Christmas it was ourselves and Ebbsfleet out in front. I lost the majority of my loanee's as their time was up and 2 of them were badly injured (broken leg, torn knee ligaments) which meant i had to look within the squad to maintain the level of performance in the first half of the season.

I made two significant signings up front one my loans had ran out, i signed Lee Ellington and John Akinde who's goals helped my maintain my league position in the top 2 all season. Ebbsfleet ended up taking the league by storm and ran away with the title. I managed to cement my position despite the odd drama or two which this game seems to throw at you.

Anyway to the play off final, a nervous and dissapointing 1-1 draw at home to St Albans led to a steely and resolute performance from the boys in the 2nd leg, Akinde popped up with the only goal of a tense occasion and we were through.

Billericay awaited my side in the final and they took the lead in the second half, so it was all or nothing, i change the team's style of passing to almost long in search of an equaliser and it came soon after, with Akinde popping up right place, right time with extra time nearly over! We had done it!

Promoted to the BSS. Well happy with that. I was hoping for a top half finish to be fair but have exceeded all expectations. Still have approx 6 players sitting in the reserves on contracts of 350-600 per week which i will get rid of in the summer and look to rebuild and improve my team. Roll on season 2.

Here are my screenies for the first season

Well, I'm trying to decide whether to acquire a bunch of Australians or Montserratians (sp?):D. The unfortunate part is that they seem to be only BSP quality and don't have good enough stats for the Championship/League 1/League 2 (except one of them lol, My ass man says he's Championship quality but he's not good enough for my first team just yet)

Nothing too impressive but with them physicals he can tear this league up.

Finally got Kirk Hudson although he is on a hefty 650 pound a week, double the second highest paid player. He didn't start the first game due to Palmer getting a hattrick the game before I just couldn't drop him, he did come on at half time though.

P.S. Charlie Macdonald is too good at AMC. :D

EDIT: Rushall just injured Ademeno, better not be serious otherwise their manager is getting verbally dropkicked via the media :)

EDIT II: Got Worksop in the FA Cup, we win that and we are in the FA Cup 'proper'. Rushall also injured Simon Rusk. Both players are out for a long time.

My star striker from last season - Tom Elliott had no desire to come back on loan to me, even though we are one of his favoured clubs and I'm on his favoured personel list. He ended up joining Fulham for £130k.

Are you not able to have both of them then?

I don't HAVE to sell LuaLua, just that there's so much interest in him that they might unsettle him. And his replacement, regen Glenn Hughes is already worth $625k, so I hope to put him in the first team to someday sell him too.

The only reason I'm so open to selling players is to improve my training and youth facilities.

That's my main reason for selling people too, it's normally the islanders that get me the most money. Especially when I stick a cheeky international appearance fee into the deal. Knowing full well that they'll probably play the next international!

Have you started selling yet? Really helps with the finances when you rip teams off:p

Memorable transfers:

GK James Dormand - acquired for 35k (i didn't acquire him). sold for 30k to Hayes & Yeading. Now worth 5k
GK Alex McCarthy - signed on a free. sold for 20k to Thurrock. Now worth 3k
GK Vinnie Whelan - signed on a free. sold for 3k to Eastleigh. Now worth 30k
ST Scott Rhodes - signed on a free and only played 2 games for us. Sold to Hayes & Yeading for 10k + 110k if he scores 40 league goals (only 14 more goals:))
DC Michael Connor - signed on a free and sold to Darlington for 70k
GK James Dalton - signed on a free and sold to Lewes for 2k. now worth 9k
GK Shayne Barlow - " " ". Was our starting GK but was expendable and sold to Stockport for 45k
DR Dan Bacon - regen. only spent a year with us before being sold for 60k
DR Dale Bennett - really didn't go into my first team plans, and was overjoyed when Dag & Red overpaid for him (20k)
MC Yaser Kasim - never played a league game for us, and sold to Rochdale for 14k

All the transfers have 50% sell-on clause:D

Must be a huge DB or dual nationality because I'm on Large aswell. Haven't even got huge haha.

Well my game is going good and bad: I beat Hucknall with 3 players out and another a doubtful. Then drew 1-1 with Worksop's team of extraordinary greyed out players in the 4th FA Cup round qualifier. I also had Hadji reach the yellow card limit and Palmer sent off. 6 players out for the replay.

You'll find islanders generated every season around 20th September - the actual islands that they come from changes each time.

Whitby Town – Blue Square North 2008/09 Season Review

League: 1st - Champions! (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/confnorth.jpg)
FA Cup: 2nd Qualifying Round
FA Trophy: 1st Round
Setanta Shield (North): 3rd Round

This season was very positive from the outset, with Middlesbrough becoming our parent club and sending Tom Craddock (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/craddock2.jpg) (Striker) and Rhys Williams (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/williams.jpg) (Centre Back) on loan, with both players being instrumental in our success. Craddock and free signing Waide Fairhurst (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/fairhurst.jpg) (ex-Doncaster and Sheff Utd youth) were phenomenal up front, scoring 65 goals between them. This was vital as we failed to keep a clean sheet for 3 months (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/fixtures.jpg) from November to February! Fairhurst was arguably the most consistent performer, though Craddock really became a different class in the latter stages of the season – at one point scoring 4 goals in each of two consecutive away games.

For the first half of the season we floated around the top half, before finally establishing ourselves in the top three around Christmas time. After another couple of months Burton Albion fell away from ourselves and Nuneaton, so it was left to the pair of us to battle it out for the league title. A hard-fought 3-2 home win against Nuneaton in late January was extremely important, as before and after this match they were winning almost every game, so thankfully we took some points away from them and drew more or less level in the title race. See the position graph (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/positions.jpg).

Cup-wise we were very disappointing in the FA cup, losing 2-1 at the first hurdle to Welling who went on to finish 19th in the Conference South. We had a decent run in the Setanta Shield, and to be honest I wasn’t at all happy when we went out in the 3rd round, losing 2-1 to Harrogate, a team that we comfortably beat twice in the league. Our FA Trophy performance was decent yet unspectacular - after qualifying we lost away at Conference Premier side Weymouth in a 1st round replay.

League Player of the Season: Tom Craddock (Waide Fairhurst - 3rd place)
Top League Goalscorer: Tom Craddock (37)
Signing of the Season: Waide Fairhurst
Fan Player of the Season: Waide Fairhurst
My Player of the Season: Jamie Yates (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/yatesy.jpg) (ex-Rotherham youth). Despite the strikers’ efforts, Yates’ performances on the right wing still stood out to me above anyone else. He contributed 10 goals and 16 assists over the course of the campaign, occasionally filling in up front, and strikes me as something of a lower league James Milner.

Other Key Players

Andy Ritchie (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/ritchie.jpg) – Solid defensive midfielder who also has a keen eye for goal and good passing. Formed a lethal partnership with Sam Wedgbury (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/wedgbury.jpg) in the centre of the park.

Matthew Lowton (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/lowton.jpg) – A surprisingly adept centre-back considering he’s only 5’9”. Worked very well with Rhys Williams and also played right-back when required.

Jamie Stevens (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/stevens.jpg) – My new captain (replacing Alan Massey) as I begin in the conference premier, he starred at right back throughout the season, and was flexible enough to also compete at left back and on the left wing. A fans’ favourite.

In the build-up to the conference season, my assistant amazingly managed to arrange a home friendly with Lazio (http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee339/dewhirstp/lazio.jpg), bringing in over three times our biggest crowd so far! First conference match we won comfortably 3-1 vs Histon... however a poor 2-0 defeat against Rushden brought us back to reality. One major plus is that I've retained Craddock for another season, hopefully he's primed and ready to continue his heroics!

AFC Wimbledon, 2012-2013 Season (Coca-Cola League 2)

Media Prediction: Last (as usual:rolleyes:)
Finishing Position: 7th (http://img239.imageshack.us/my.php?image=l2standingskz8.jpg)
Johnstone's Paint Trophy: Lost in the South Quarter-Final against Bournemouth 2-1 on penalties
Carling Cup: Lost in the 1st Round to West Brom 2-0
FA Cup: Lost in the 3rd Round to Charlton 6-0

The Squad:

Squad (http://img120.imageshack.us/my.php?image=squadsx7.jpg)

A good team overall. We exceeded media expectations (as always:p) and sneaked into the playoffs in the last game.

Our first opponents in the playoffs were 2nd place Swindon. We defeated them 2-0 in the home leg and was hoping to only lose narrowly in the away leg (considering my bad away form). We lost 3-1 but beat them on penalties.

The Final at Wembley matched us up against Wycombe. They defeated us 2-0 and were promoted to League 1.

The Transfers:

Transfers (http://img294.imageshack.us/my.php?image=transfersqa3.jpg)

Brought in many new players this season, which made many of the players the previous season expendable. Many teams were interested and I sold players off to the highest bidder.

Darius Charles was decent at left back, compiling 3 assists in 55 league and cup games, with an average of 6.84.

Jonny Dixon, who I've been chasing since my scout found him while the BSS, finally came to AFC Wimbledon. He scored 6 goals and added 7 assists in 52 league and cup games.

Loanees Jonathon Obika scored 11 times in 22 league and cup games while Sam Cox, which i used mostly as a dm, had 2 goals and 5 assists in 39 league and cup games.

Backup gk Michael Taylor went on a free unfortunately, and starting gk Shayne Barlow left for Stockport. I was willing to sell as I felt Scott could do the job.

Bacon, a first-team regular last year, was sold for US$60k. Often unused defender Dale Bennett was sold for US$20k, another steal in my opinion lol. I offered Cameron to clubs and Shrewsbury wanted him, so he was sold there. And in the January transfer window, former Spur youngster Yaser Kasim, who never played a league game for me, was sold to Rochdale.

Key Players (League and Cup appearances totaled)

Simon Dawkins - 50 appearances, 32 goals, 3 assists, 11 Man of the Match awards, 7.14 average

A great player who will only get better. Did complain about being substituted in a match 2 months ago though, which was annoying. 6th in the league in goals. I wouldn't selling him if the right offer came.

Kazenga LuaLua - 54 appearances, 9 goals, 9 assists, 4 Man of the Match awards, 7.20 average

Another very solid player. The most consistent player this season. Many Championship clubs want him. Won't selling him for anything less than US$300k.

Maxi Gradel - 51 appearances, 0 goals, 23 assists, 1 Man of the Match award, 7.12 average

Led the league in assists. Bit undisciplined though with 11 yellows and a red.

Gateshead FC Season 2009/2010

After a decent first season (9th) I expected this season to at least challenge for a playoff spot. How wrong I proved to be!

The board expected a respectable league position and I agreed but really hoped for a bit more. Things started bad after taking only one win from the opening five games. It didn't get better and after 10 games we had only taken 13 points from a possible 30. From there, consistency proved to be the enemy: one week we would win 3-0 against a promotion pusher, the next lose 3-0 to a relegation fighter.

Despite battling up to 7th at one stage, results one again dropped and there seemed little I could do to turn things around. Tweaking the tactics, a few new signings, but neither helped and on the back of just two wins from the last 12 games, we slumped to a depressing 19th (11 points clear of the drop though). Not at all what I wanted from this season and it leaves a lot of work to do.

Looking back, the major problem was our cup progression. We played 11 cup games over the season and during November played a total of 7 games, only one of which was in the league. The other problem was the whole team never fired as one. For whatever reason, when the strikers were on form, the defence became suicidal, and when the defence looked unbeatable, the forwards couldn't hit a barn door!

Competitions:
Blue Square North: 19th 46pts -10g.d.
Setanta Shield: 2nd Round (Lost 3-2 at Hucknall)
FA Trophy: 1st Round (Lost 3-2 vs Weymouth(BSP))
FA Cup: 2nd Round (Lost 4-3 (replay) at Wrexham(L2))

Transfers:
Signed a total of 13 players, all on frees. A good mix of youth and experience. Unfortunately only about 50% proved to be fruitful signings and the others are all set to be released. Sold 6 players, also all for free but with sell on clauses.

Despite reasonable success last season, there still seemed very few players willing to sign for me this season. Similarly, noone with any ability wanted to come in on loan, and due to the continuing lack of parent club, we had no loanees to back up the small squad.

Players:
Star Man:
Jamie Cureton - Second signing of the season, without him probably would have been closer to relegation. Dried up towards the end of the season but still came 3rd in BSN Player of the Season award.
Apps 45+2, Gls: 28, Assts: 5, MOM: 8, Avg.Rat.: 7.38

Disappointment:
Mark Arber - First signing of the season, thought he would solve last seasons defensive troubles. Ended up causing more problems than he solved and found himself warming the bench a lot in the second half of the season.
Apps 24+4, Gls: 0, Assts: 1, Avg.Rat.: 6.84, Mistakes leading to goal: 7!!

Next Season:
Looking for a few quality signings over the summer to make massive improvements in every department of the squad. Hopefully will finally push for the playoffs but will be happy just to get my midtable position back and try to build after that again.

Game Summary:
Season 1 - 9th Blue Square North
Season 2 - 19th Blue Square North

The dream is over at Guiseley - I was sacked 18 games into the season when we were sat rock bottom of Blue Square Premier without a win to our names.

I'm holidaying for a new game now and will most likely look to take control of AFC Wimbledon, mainly because I want a big London side as a parent club.

canvey!! - You notice some strange things!

And now it's three :D We're doing quite well atm, we were unlucky to draw our first match and now we're 2-0 up vs Crewe at half time :)

Lets make that 5!

Thanks, doesn't look like I'll be getting the holidaying finished till tomorrow though, struggling to stay awake at the moment.

Ouch :( Brought back down to earth after a 7-2 defeat vs Norwich, we had to put Pedro at centre back after Radicevic (Who was only playing because Sahin was out) got injured.

It's now 7:D

I'll think I probably try and play my AFC Wimbledon save today, so much homework to do though:(

And is everyone else other than me, roberto, and Razer not posting in the thread to not break the streak?:p

How dare you! :D It's the year of returns as Wojniech Sczesczny is set to return in January for a fee of 250k. We are currently 7th in the table.

For 90 minutes, we hung with Birmingham in the Carling Cup 1st Round. Unfortunately, they scored 3 goals in extra-time and we lost 5-2:(

At least the media isn't as stupid as last couple years (but still pretty dumb:D) as they predict us to be 15th and NOT 24th like the 2 previous years. However, Sky Bet is a bit more accurate, considering AFC Wimbledon the 6th best team in the league:)

Hope this will be a good season and we can finish in the top 3:)

yay I finally have found some defenders who can defend! Which means that I should be winning close games now! No, my strikers have decided against being good and all 4 of them have injuries :(
I was hoping for a top half finish, but the start so far hasn't been too good (even though I've won 4-0 and 6-1 already , but that was before the inuries).
I'm hoping I can get to the 3rd round of the FA Cup again this season, as that really helped my finances, but I'll have to hope for a lucky draw again.

I was all ready to strangle my strikers but thankfully some shots finally hit the target and we got out of jail. http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/4695/fa4thvsleedssi8.jpg Just goes to prove how much I hate losing. Slezak is also a former player, having spent 7 years with us.
