Stamford - Conference South - 2010/11 September Update

Somehow managed to sell 2 players in the close season for actual money. 1 midfielder valued at 2k went for 20k, and the other midfielder was valued at 14k and I somehow persuaded Farsely to part with 250k for him, which promptly put me back in the black, raised my wage budget and gave me a bit of a transfer kitty.

With my new transfer kitty I was able to go after the Bulgarian player I had on trial and couldnt afford the compensation for and also a goal keeper I'd had on loan in my first season.

Also managed to pick up a new midfield and some other extra players.

I thought it would take some time for this new look team to gel, so imagine my surpise when the table after 9 games looks like this (http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/412/stam9gamesel2.jpg). The draw was due to a last minute equaliser from Gateshead.

My most expensive transfer signing is currently looking like this (http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/7190/stamivayloos9.jpg). Would you believe I was mainly after a different Bulgarian striker, but his club wouldnt allow the trial, or a loan so I went after this one instead.

Fraid its nigh on impossible to get anything less than 900. The lowest i've seen is Mangotsfield(850) so the chances of finding Basley are pretty much non-existent im afraid http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

The lowest in the challenge at the moment is PoypleMonkeys with Harrow Borough with a rep of 750. There are some saves floating around of Banbury and Gloucester that are rep 800.

Personally I havent managed to get anything lower than Mangostfield at 850 to appear in over 300 reloads. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif I would upload the save because I have it, but it's bugged to buggary. They expect you to win the league, the Setanta Shield, the FA Trophy and get to the 4th round of the FA Cup in the first season. So I won't upload it. My August update coming soon, it's not pretty http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Kings Lynn FC 09/10 Pre-season update

expectations (http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/4434/kl0910startofseasonexpefp0.png)

Transfers (http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/677/afterpreseasontransfersnv6.png)

I had bought in some young talent on free transfers, with most of the coach reports predicting a league 1/2 standard, my transfers also included loanees from last year Kris Renton and Declan Rudd. I decided to bring in 3 new CBs as my first choices had left after their loans. These new centre backs were Ugo Udoji, Joss Labide and Chris Bond on loan from Ipswich. A new Right and Left winger was also required, with Daniel Galbraith (Boston) and Ben Kujodi (Free) providing the left and right wings respectively. Also bought in were Sam Higgins (Free) and Matt Smith (Cardiff) who are strikers and left back respectively.

1st Friendly Vs Macclesfield

4-1 (W)
Lokando,Higgins,Renton,Oakes

A resounding win against a side in the same division as me, i was pleased to see my new strikers on the score sheet

2nd Friendly Vs Norwich Reserves

3-2 (W)

Oakes,Renton,Galbraith

Another win, but after i had nicked most of the top talent i was still surprised, as they still have players of at least championship quality

3rd Friendly Vs Frickley

1-1 (D)

Butler (OG)

Dissapointing draw against a side below BSN/S, with a late own goal salvaging a draw

4th Friendly Vs Burton Albion

2-0 (W)

Bond,Renton

Another win against a side in the same division, and 3 in 4 for Renton

5th and final friendly Vs Corinthian Casuals
1-0 (W)

Frampton (youth player)

This seemed to be an oddly difficult win against a side ranked much lower than us, and it took a late strike from a youth player to win it.

Hednesford Town Season 08/09 Blue Square North

League table (http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z79/davem_09/?action=view&current=table.jpg)

A surprisingly good first season, I was hoping for mid-table but had a good start and was in contention at the top for most of the season. Almost lost my play-off spot at the end of the season due to some bad results though.

I won the play-off semi thanks to a strong home performance (3-1) after a goalless draw away from home. I was up against Boston in the play-off final, who had finished 18 points ahead of me. It was a close game but thankfully a last minute goal from Stefan Oakes secured us the win. (http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z79/davem_09/?action=view&current=playofffinal.jpg)

Key players

Darryl Knights (http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z79/davem_09/?action=view&current=knights.jpg)- He missed tons of one on ones but caused defenders problems all season.
Cochrane (http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z79/davem_09/?action=view&current=cochrane.jpg) - My best player, he will be vital in the BSP next season.

Yes! A point! Come on turning point! I'm seriously paying the price for changing 7 of my starting 11, that's what I think the problem is. That and the new players aren't quite as good, but they have immense potential so I'm playing them anyway. I tweaked my tactic a bit for the patch now, changed my WBL/R with back arrows to DL/R with forward arrows, and reduced closing down a lot. Also decided to put short passing to the bottom and tempo to the top. Never celebrated a 0-0 so much. Come on!

Season 2010/11 Review - Hendon in the Coca-Cola League 2

League Table (http://static.pici.se/pictures/vgohCaxZT.png)!
Just barely grabbed ourselves a playoff spot. The way things were looking at the start of the season, I'd have been happy with a mid-table finish.

Past Positions (http://static.pici.se/pictures/DGrWhPrhi.png)
Much like last season, a strong finish was what got us the position we needed.

The Squad (http://static.pici.se/pictures/cZaxIMRCm.png)
Lots of new players this season, some of which have already moved on.

Transfers (http://static.pici.se/pictures/OoEAqOqcX.png)
I'm very happy with some good dealings in the transfer market. Overall we've made a profit of about 」650K.

Confidence (http://static.pici.se/pictures/TraUgwGqd.png)
I haven't signed a new contract yet, but I got the same message (http://static.pici.se/pictures/ePUKzSzfm.png) as last season and the confidence screen look fine, so I'm not that worried.

Flying high in 4th place after 33 league games played in the blue square premier. I am 7 points behind league leaders Stockport but I have a game in hand so could close the gap to 4 points.

Just put together a 11 game winning streak (3 cup games & 8 league games) before I eventually lost to Grimsby away in the FA Trophy 4th round. Dissapointed as I was dominant, missed a penalty & conceeded a late goal but I'm in the semi final of the Setanta shield also so hopefully I can get to the final.

B]Chippenham Town - Blue Square South 08/09 - End of Season review[/B]

What a season! Ended up gaining promotion at the first attempt through the play-offs.

Play-Off Final (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/playofffinal.jpg)

This always looked as though it would be a difficult season. I took over at a team with no playing staff, no backroom staff, no transfer budget and a wage budget of £2,300 per week! So into the free transfer market it was - although I managed to sign one player by paying £2k in instalments over 18 months.

Player Transfers 1 (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/eostrans1.jpg)

Player Transfers 2 (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/eostrans2.jpg)

Staff Transfers (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/Stafftransfers.jpg)

Some of these players were still being signed a month into the season, and with so many new faces, it naturally took a while for the squad to settle and gel and for me to find the right formula with formation and tactics. This led to me losing the first 3 games of the season, and although things picked up, the team struggled to string any kind of a run together. It was pretty inconsistent. However, once I did find that magic formula, the boys eventually moved up to mid-table, which is where I told my board I could finish, and instead of getting stuck there as I thought they would, they kept on going and pushed themselves into contention. In my very last 16 games of the season, excluding the play-offs, I went unbeaten, and my very last 8 league games were all won.

Squad (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/eossquad.jpg)

I was lucky enough to set up a link with Bristol City, and I snatched 4 of their players on loan for the season. Two of those 4 players ended up being key men for me.

Ricardo Fernandes (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/ricardo.jpg)

Frankie Artus (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/frankiear.jpg)

Frankie Artus was pretty good already when he arrived on loan, but Fernandes wasn’t and he wasn’t in my starting 11 at the start if the season. However, on my pretty damn good training schedule (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/eostrain.jpg), Ricardo Fernandes turned into a pretty darn good player, and once he broke into the team, he didn’t look back and got something like 21 goals and 10 assists from AMC. Unfortunately, I have no screenshot of Fernandes' attributes when he first arrived on loan. You'd be pretty impresed by his development.

I think it’s unrealistic to expect these 2 to come back on loan next season, but I’ll always feel a sense of achievement for improving both players, especially Fernandes, beyond measure and giving them both regular first team football to aid their development. Both lads are being sniffed around by Prem and Championship clubs and I feel like I can take some of the credit for that. I have my work cut out to find replacements next season, but that's the beauty of the challenge!

My other key players were:

Nathan Wolfe (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/natewolfe.jpg), who scored a brilliant amount of goals.
Drewe Broughton (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/dreeeeeewe.jpg), who held up the ball very well, flicked it on, worked his socks off every game and chipped in with a fair few goals himself.
Rob Wolleaston (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/robwoll.jpg), my very own midfield general.

With these players as my core, and a few more quality additions, I don’t think it’ll beyond my reach to survive. And that’s what I’ll be happy with. If I set my sights too high, I fear getting the sack!

My finances (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/finance.jpg) improved greatly, thanks in no part to the rise in attendances. At the start of the season, I was lucky if I got 700 through the gate. Now, I’m regularly getting 1,700! The board and the fans appear to be happy with my efforts too, although the board say that they want me to win Blue Square South by the end of a 4-year plan.

Competition Confidence (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/conf1.jpg)

Confidence Summary (http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa137/jsufc88/conf2.jpg)

I fear the appearance of a bug here - I didn’t win BSS, I went up via the play-offs, and in 3 years time, I could be in League One and still won’t have won BSS outright, and I wonder whether that could get me the sack…but hey-ho, we shall see!

Life at the New Manor Ground - Continued
2008/09 in the Blue Square North, November and December update

[i]Note - I lost some of my November notes and had to replay most of December due to an overheat related crash. First time my PC has overheated with FM/CM since CM4 http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif Anyway, took the opportunity to install the patch at game date 01/12/08

A very poor couple of months. We started the period in an overly strong 4th position, but had slipped back to 7th by the turn of the year. In the process, we won just a single game, and crashed out of two cups. I'm surprised to still be in a job to be honest. Oh, and the board are constantly whinging on about one of my pre-season signings, despite him being free and only on £45 per week (lowest wage of a player I've signed).

November
A 0-0 draw against a struggling Blyth outfit was unremarkable in terms of action, but it did see the injury which turned our fortunes, as influential midfielder Danny Holmes (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/4555/dannyholmesinjurypn5.jpg) was stretchered off three minutes from time with a broken jaw. Three days later we were hammered 4-0 in front of our own fans by Harrogate. The performance was reminiscent of pre-season, and needed a good few drinks to forget. We at least got our first goal of the month at Stalybridge, but the late goal was only enough for a point.

Our brief Setanta Shield run ended at Redditch where, despite taking the lead, we went down to two quality goals. Our confidence took another battering when we exited the FA Trophy at the first time of asking. It was a game we could never realistically expect to win, away at runaway Blue Square North leaders Kettering, but the way we went down, by three goals, was disappointing.

There was good news during the enforced break for the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup. takeover was finally complete (http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/7696/takeovercompletefx3.jpg), but even this silver lining had a cloud, as the new board weren't sure they wanted me to carry on (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/6571/impendingdoomdz2.jpg). To end the month we rescued a draw from the jaws of certain victory, thanks to two missed penalties at Solihull, a team we had beaten comfortably just over a month earlier. Things were looking bad for my job prospects.

December
The board kept me waiting just a couple of weeks before giving me the good news (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/4937/nicetobelovedmq3.jpg). More importantly, the transfer embargo was lifted at the same time. Consequently a number of loan approaches were made. One or two were successful (and if the players turn out to be any good I'll mention them by name http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ).

We celebrated with our first (and as it turns out only) win of the month. Local rivals Alfreton crumbled under our attacking onslaught, and it seems all patch-related defensive problems could be forgiven as we kept a clean sheet for the first time in 6 games. Confidence was shattered again, however, by Kettering's league visit, which ended up pretty much like the FA Trophy encounter. A goalless draw against Altrincham was disappointing, as was the crowd which had slumped to less than half it's early November peak. We had no Christmas cheer on Boxing Day, as we gift-wrapped a victory for Hinckley, with three of my loan signings making inconspicuous debuts.

26/12/08 at Hinckley 1-3 (G: Matt Somner)</pre>

7th P23 W8 D9 L6 GD+1 Pts 33

Midway through the season, and Kettering have a ten point lead (57) from Hinckley (47), closely followed by Workington (46) and Harrogate (44) who seem to have the playoffs in their grasp. A 9 point gap back to Hucknall (35) but only 2 points separate them and the next four teams, including our good selves. You would guess only the 4th playoff spot is really up for grabs, unless someone self-destructs in the new year.

The two midfielders, Holmes and Somner, remain at the top of the pile - although Holmes has only played once in the period of course. A poor monthe for Tom Clarke has dragged him down to level with Owen Story.

We're off and running again.

My big fat GK can score more than your big fat GK. (http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g118/Jimbokav1971/Boreham%20Wood%200910/?action=view&current=Ivebeenwaiting.jpg)

Although this is the first goal I've scored with a GK in FM08, it has been coming and I've been oh so close on a number of occasions. He is hitting the target with 50% of his shots but as his free-kick rating is only 8, he only takes them when my first and second choice are not playing.

Bedford Town 2009/2010 Season Review..

Had a mixedd start to the season, was unbeaten in my first 5 games, then lost 3 of my next 5 games so quite an mixed start to the season. Then i went 4 games unbeaten which really helped, though i still needed some goals from somewhere. Up comes Lucas Banton and Charlie Henry, with some help from a certain Mr Wilson. http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Banton got 13 goals from attacking mid, Henry got 13 from attacking mid and on the wing Wilson got 15. Still believe i need a striker that will get me 20 goals and i seem to be letting in to many goals.

Final League Standings (http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/6227/bluesquaresouthfinal200aa4.jpg)

Play Off Semi Final Leg 1 (http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/7176/1stlegoj7.jpg)

Fairly even game a draw was a good result away from home... i thought.

Play Off Semi Final Leg 2 (http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/6383/playoffsecondlegoj6.jpg)

Should of won this with ease, bloke who scored had 1 shot on goal all game and scored. I had 12 shots and only 3 were on target, disgraceful finishing i must say.

Fairly good season though, next season were going up. http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Important Players

Charlie Henry (http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/1254/charliehenrypt0.jpg)

1st Match Vs AFC Wimbledon

3-1 (W)

Fortune-West,Crooks,Lokando

My first win in BSP, and it was 38 year old Fortune West who grabbed the equaliser and set me on my way

2nd Match Vs Macclesfield

0-2 (L)

A dissapointing performance, especially after my hammering of them in pre-season, but maybe 6/6 is too much to expect in my first season, where i'm predicted to finish 22nd

3rd Match Vs Grays

0-1 (L)

I missed loads of chances, but couldn't find a way through

4th match Vs Crawley

0-0 (D)

At least i got a point and a clean sheet, but it could have been more did Lokando not push the keeper in the last minute, an incident that resulted in a touchline ban for me.

5th match Vs Kidderminster

1-2 (L)

Lokando

Kidderminster took the lead, but an equaliser by Lokando seemed to have got me a point, until Constable scored a free kick just before the hour mark

6th Match Vs York

0-2 (L)

A match against the team placed first couldn't be expected to yield much, and thats how it turned out, leaving me in 18th at the end of the month with 4 points and a GD of -4. Still, could be worse, could be managing AFC Wimbledon, who are still to even draw a game, and their only goal came against me.

Table (http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/8881/tableee2.png)

Also, 2 more loans were bought in from Norwich, Chris Smith returning for 3 moths and Archie Campbell coming over for the whole season. Campbell in particular looks to be a star, with the report predicting an ability rivalling many Championship players.

I'm getting constant bids for my Premier League and Championship quality players, despite asking for £2.5m they just keep on bidding around £200k. It is getting annoying now, one of them even managed to unsettle one of my players the day before the playoff final which I lost, that annoyed me.

End of Season Update - 2010/2011 (Ilkeston Town)

2008/2009 - 14th Blue Square North
2009/2010 - 15th Blue Square North
2010/2011 - 2nd Blue Square North (promoted via playoffs)

New season, new tactics, new parent club, newfound success!!

We'd struggled in previous seasons but after sacking Mansfield Town as our parent club, we were delighted to found a new relationship with Nottingham Forest, and it's in a big part down to the generosity of Forest that Ilkeston Town will be playing in the Blue Square Premier next year.

1 keeper, 1 defender, 2 midfielders and a striker came on loan from Forest, and they gelled incredibly well with my existing players in a 5-3-2 counter attacking formation.

47 goals from 44 appearances made Jamie Guy my star player.

Home grown(ish) Zac Richardson bagged 36 from 43, although there are some bigger clubs sniffing around him now - i hope to hold on to him.

We were beaten in the final of the FA Trophy by Rochdale which would have only added to a superb season from the boys, especially considering we were only supposed to claim a mid-table finish.

The playoff final itsself was a nail biter - 3-1 up with only 6 minutes to go we conceded twice to take it to an uneventful extra time. Penalties it was - and fortunaltely Telford missed all of theirs while we only missed 4 out of 5!

Screenprints below. Damn this game is addictive http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Aario - Halesowen - season 1 (08/09) BSN -Mid term update

I seem to be very slow at this as have only just to January in my first season in charge of Halesowen

Anyway - I have signed a load of players but still have 4 or 5 original players around the first team squad. We are out of all the cups but currently sit 4th in the BSN. Had a terrible end of November and begining of December when all my strickers were injured so the goals dried up and we have never been that great at the back so we lost our unbeaten home record, went out of all the cups and dropped from 2nd to 5th. However, a win on boxing day looks like it may have got us back on track. Boston appear to be running away with the league so it looks like the playoffs are the best I can hope for. I have Kidderminster as a parent club but the only players they have offered to loan me so far have been from their U18's and have not been any better (or even as good) as my squad but they have just said that they may be sending me a half decent looking player (if he decides he wants to join me) so I will probably take him but still only a squad player / sub rather then someone who will really help

Anyhow best get on with it now

Well, it's to do with where Bedford is. If you take all of the 44 teams across Blue Square North and South at the beginning of each season, the 22 teams that are furthest south get put in BSS and the 22 furthest north teams are put in BSN. So I would say that Blue Square North and South as a whole gained a team, either by promotion or relegation, that is further south than Bedford, which pushed Bedfore into BSN. Geddit?

Hmm. I'm joining others in thinking that Parent Clubs play a little bit too much of a part in playing in the lower leagues. I'm also playing Ilkeston (although much more slowly than you) and am coming to the conclusion that having Mansfield as a parent club is a disability too far. Teams like Kings Lynn absolutely hammering me thanks to their £550k midfield loanee from Norwich who basically dominates the game.

Just marking time now to the end of the season so I can sack Mansfield.

Bedford's probably on the edge of the dividing line for the North and South divisions, and if the teams promoted up to and relegated down to them are balanced more towards either the north or the south (in this case, let's say all 4 teams coming down from the Blue Square Premier are in London or south, and maybe the two teams coming up from the Isthmian League are in Bristol or somewhere else around there, along with the teams coming from the Southern League they'd all have to go to the South, so the Blue Square South would be promoting 2 teams, relegating 3, but gaining 8, leaving them with 3 extra. Since the North would only be gaining the 2 teams from the Northern League, they'd be 3 teams short, and thus the 3 northernmost teams from the South would move up to the north. It probably wouldn't happen this way, but it's going to happen that teams will have to switch divisions if they're on the borderline and there's an uneven split in promotion and relegation.

Was that explanation complicated enough for you? :P

Just lost to Whitby in the second round of the Setanta Shield, to be greeted with 3 physio messages of players injured for up to a month, and also 2 players regretting their errors that gifted Whitby with 2 out of their 3 goals.

Of my top 4 strikers 2 are out through injury and 1 still has 2 games left to go on his ban. This cant be good for my next few matches.

King's Lynn - Season 2008-2009 review

After the very harsh September things continued the same way. Hard fought victories time from time, and losses just as often. Luckily - only Kettering and Southport were doing great, while the rest stumbled as often as I did.

6 games to the end of the season found me falling to the 5th place, but a good finish saw me go up to 3rd after all. League positions graph (http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x103/jvovk22/Leaguegraph.jpg)

That meant play-offs for me. And the Nuneaton as my opponent in the semis. To say I was extremely pleased with that is a massive understatement. Lost my home game in the season to them 2-4, but the away game was the best I had in the year - Nuneaton away (http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x103/jvovk22/Bestmatch-Nuneatonaway.jpg)

The semis started with the easy part - the away game http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

Blue Square North Playoff Semi Final Leg 1 (http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x103/jvovk22/Nuneatonaway.jpg)

The hattrick of Chris Martin made it 10 goals scored in 3 games for him against Nuneaton http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. However, the confident victory came with a price. A knock recieved by Michael Spillane (http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x103/jvovk22/MichaelSpillane.jpg), my only brilliant midfielder put him out for 1-3 weeks. And that meant missing the Playoff final if I got there. A real tragedy for King's Lynn.

Blue Square North Playoff Semi Final Leg 2 (http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x103/jvovk22/Nuneatonhome.jpg)

A man of the match performance from my GK meant the mini-tradition of away victories between our clubs was broken. King's Lynn were through to the Final http://community.sigames.com/customicons/icon14.gif However this time with the only semi-decent LB getting a knock.

On the day of the Final against Southport the mood was pessimistic. Lost both league games to them, and Spillane and the LB only resumed light training and were at 70% condition both. I was so desperate for at least a chance of winning the Final though, that both of them went into the starting 11.

After me telling the lads that they can win it, the game started. And on the 29th minute the genius that is Chris Martin put us one up. It fell apart quickly after that. 1-2 down at HT http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Gave them the same talk. You can win it http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif And inspired by my words Martin scored the equalizer just seconds after the game re-started. We simply couldn't lose this game anymore. And after withstanding heavy pressure for the rest of the 2-nd half Martin ran away on a counter-attack and got himself a hat-trick on the 88th minute. Absolutely brilliant game, and King's Lynn are getting promoted http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Spillane and the LB played all 90 minutes http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Blue Square North Playoff Final (http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x103/jvovk22/SouthportFinal.jpg)

Chris Martin (http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x103/jvovk22/ChrisMartin-1.jpg) with 54 goals in 48 games deservedly won the Player of the Season in the league, while I was 2nd in the Manager of the Season.

After my long run of wins I then ended up losing twice & drawing once in 4 games to leave myself in 5th spot. Whilst still being only 8 points off the leaders I'm only 1 point above 6th placed Rochdale & only 4 ahead of 7th placed Crawley.

With 9 games to go everything to play for from 1st to 7th place, I just hope I can cling onto a play off spot to give myself a chance of promotion.

I just hope my luck will change sooner rather then later as I've had 4 red cards in the last 7 games & injuries to 3 key players have left me very think on playing staff. Sooner this clears up & I can get back to playing a full strength team the more confidence I'll have!

Next up though is a setanta shield semi final against Rochdale ...

I must admit I'm getting rather obsessed with watching the matches at the moment, some of the football my team are playing at times is magical. I may not be storming my way through the leagues but it's brilliant to watch. Quite strange since I started my Chippenham career playing horrible long ball football.

Im doing the same Dafuge, I was sitting about 8th in December and was losing a massive amount of goals and only winning games because I could score more. So I changed my tactics going from a passing attacking game to a more direct counter attack and Ive jst won my 10th league game on the bounce, im sitting joint top 30 games played http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Well I started the semi final without my captain Livermore & my attacking midfielder Dadson so had to make a few changes, I opted to shift Griffiths into the centre of midfield to cover for Livermore & play squad player Henry on the left of the 3 midfielders. I also decided to try my luck playing Ademeno as my AMC in hope his pace & ability to take players on whilst having a good long shot would cause problems against there tight defence.

The first half was just as I expected & how the league games have gone, Rochdale don't play a very attcking style but counter attack with a very defensive team. I've always found them extremely hard to break down & to create clear chances but they have good strikers who can punish me with only a few chances needed. The game went on with me having most of the play but as expected not creating any clear cut chances, whilst I restricted them to only 1 shot in the first half I only had 3 myself.

My players were playing ok & it didn't look like I'd lose so I left things the same in hope I'd finally break them down, in the 54th minute I was rewarded when good play by Osborne set Wilson free just inside there half, he shifted past there central midfielder & made his way towards there right back area only to unleash an awesome shot from 30 yards that left the keeper with no chance.

The half carried on in the same manner & was a pretty boring affair but I got the win & am in the final!

Hitchin minor update BS Premier - season 09/10

After 15 matched we're 8th in the table, much better then I expected.
There have been a few new players in (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc286/spankie_uk2002/transscreenoct09.jpg) and a few out, including my first sale for money. £75k for a player worth £6k, of course he's been playing well for them http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

At least the money that the board gave me (£26k) has helped me to buy a player to fill my troublesome left back spot.

After spending last season with only a pair of poor keepers I managed to sign a couple of good ones. Russell Howarth (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc286/spankie_uk2002/russellhowarth.jpg) is an ex-England U21 keeper and also played for York, but I won't hold that against him. My only concern with him is his habit of parrying shots back into danger http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif
because of that he's only kept 5 clean skeets in 15 games and conceeded 13 goals.
I might give LLoyd Saxton (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc286/spankie_uk2002/lloydsaxton.jpg) a run in the first team sooner then I would like.

Also new to the team is Aaron Lescott (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc286/spankie_uk2002/badboy.jpg), Joleon's older and less Klingon like brother. As you can see from that screenshot he's been a very, very bad boy. 8 games, 5 yellow cards and 3 reds; two were for violent conduct. One more and he's out of the door and I'll get someone else in who doesn't cost me games.

I've also signed Chris Arthur after he was released by QPR, he was on loan last season and did well. Also his QPR team mate Harry Smart has joined and seems to pick up a couple more bookings then I would like.

I also got a couple of ex-Watford youngsters who may prove to be pretty decent in the long run.

Highlight of the transfers is getting Baidoo on loan again \o/

Just a quick mini update, this season has been a disaster right from the start! Its 2010/11 and our first in the BSP.

However despite being in the relegation zone all season and shipping goals for fun, it seems with 6 games to go my players have finally realised what's at stake. 2 back to back wins have closed the gap on safety to 6 points. Only 5 games remaining. If we survive it will be nothing short of a miracle. Full update later this evening...

Absolutely cruel table finish (http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee68/RockLobster5525/Crueltablefinish.jpg) but hopefully i'll get through on playoffs though. Money shouldnt be much of an issue next season though: just got a ridiculous 140K offer for Zavon Hines (http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee68/RockLobster5525/zavon.jpg) from Weymouth so i'll be able to rake in some quality players for next season if i havn't been sacked by then(said we would finish top of the league on the first season. Foolish, perhaps?)

Has anyone seen any new players added to their clubs favoured personnel list yet?

I've finished 5 seasons now, and Robin McStravick has won the fans player of the year for four of them, and scored 103 goals for the club, even he's not on there.

My morale tends to be either good or very good for my main set of players who start games but the subs & squad members are generally poor.

No players yet on my clubs favoured personal, infact no players have me as favoured either, mind you only just coming to end of second season so as expected.

Just had 2 annoying draws against mid table teams to take me into an away tie against league leaders stockport that I thought would end all aspiration of a shock title challenge but I won 2-1 to leave me 6 points behind with 4 games left.

Looks like a play off spot is safe but wish I hadnt had this poor run as the league really was there for the taking.

If Chelsea can smash a team above them in the table 6-0 then I'm sure 12-0 against 9 men and a much lower quality squad isn't out of the realms of possibility. Only reason you don't see it in real life is because real life managers call their players off at about 5 or 6.

Merthyr Tydfil - Blue Square South - 08/09 End of Season Report

I've finally managed to finish my first season, after a total of over 36 hours of play according to the game status screen http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif . In my last update I said my results were starting to improve a bit after changing to a 4-1-3-2 formation, and predictably it all fell apart again in the next few games, resulting in 6 consecutive defeats. By this point, I'd dropped into the relegation zone, so I made an attempt to get a new parent club, as my current deal with Cardiff didn't benefit us at all. After cancelling the deal, I managed to get a new one with Cardiff, where they actually loaned me players!

Almost straight away they sent me two players on loan, and it looked like I'd got a real star in Matt Green, who managed a debut hattrick and then a total of 5 goals in his first 3 games. Inevitably, he didn't score for the rest of the season. Luckily, our results picked up a bit, and despite a 6-2 loss to the mighty Fisher, we finished the season in 18th place.

Final League Table (http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z125/Wellyboo/Dafuges%20Challenge/LeagueTable-June09.jpg)
League Position Graph (http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z125/Wellyboo/Dafuges%20Challenge/LeaguePositionGraph-June09.jpg)

My three top players for the season were:
Charles Ademeno (http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z125/Wellyboo/Dafuges%20Challenge/Ademeno-June09.jpg) - Played consistently well throughout and the season, scoring 20 goals in 32 starts. Pretty exciting to watch too http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Jamie Gleeson (http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z125/Wellyboo/Dafuges%20Challenge/Gleeson-June09.jpg) - Was solid for the first half of the season, but really started performing when he was the sole MC in my 4-1-3-2 formation.

Michael Roddy (http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z125/Wellyboo/Dafuges%20Challenge/Roddy-June09.jpg) - To be honest, he was probably the most erratic member of my team, but at his best he was excellent.

My Starting 11 (http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z125/Wellyboo/Dafuges%20Challenge/Starting11-June09.jpg)

I think the biggest problem with my team was the lack of a good goalkeeper. I switched between Lloyd Rigby and Adam Docker from my youth team, and neither were really up for it. Luckily, I've already brought in a GK who looks twice as good on a free at the end of his contract.

An issue that has come up though is my finances. Our bank balance was rocketing up until the end of 2008, but since then its being going straight back down at about the same rate. Not sure if it was linked to us playing badly, but hopefully it will sort itself out for the new season - Finances. (http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z125/Wellyboo/Dafuges%20Challenge/Finances-June09.jpg)

In the new season I'm hoping for a mid-table finish at least, and maybe with a bit of luck I might manage a play-off spot, but I'll have to wait and see.

My point is that if a team go even 1 player down and are getting battered, they stick everyone behind the ball and defend for their lives just so they don't get humiliated.

There are many examples of high scoring games since the patch but everyone seems to think it's just their excellent tactics.

It's just not realistic.

Too good quality players joining on l,oan from a parent club is certainly a bug.

Too good quality players joining from anywhere is certainly a bug.

Players of league 2 standard who are joining our clubs when no League 2 sides or Conference North sides are even interested in them is certainly a bug.

The tactics employed by AI managed teams when reduced to 10 or 9 men is certainly a bug.

I guess you would rather hammer in 12 goals than play a realistic game.

Congratulations http://community.sigames.com/customicons/icon14.gif.

Setanta Cup Final

I went into the final wanting to rest a few tired players but really felt it would be naieve of me to do so as it would be such a big achievement to win the cup. I ended up missing Dadson & Hatch were both missing through injury who would have been in my team, the other injury was to Stubbs who is my backup central midfielder so no big loss.

I opted to rest Kyle Wilson who was extremely exhausted & play Nathan Jarman after the latter scored 4 goals in 4 late sub appearances recently.

Expecting a tight game we get of to the worst start I could have ever wanted to avoid & conceeded to a break away in the 4th minute, Gary Twigg broke the offside trap to leave himself with just my gk to beat which he did, disaster!!!!!

We immediately went back up the other end to force a good save & started to take the upper hand with 2 good saves in the next 10 minutes from there gk.

In the 28th minute we got our reward for the pressure & James Dunne scored a goal with a nice finish from inside the box to make it 1-1 & give us a great chance to win the game.

The rest of the first half was very much even with both teams having chances but no more goals added. At half time I opted to bring on Kyle Wilson for Nathan Jarman to try & turn the chances into a goal.

The second half started of very even with both teams having alot of the ball but it took until the 57th minute before a shot was put it on goal & thankfully it was my side that it fell to & a great header by Nabil El Zhar after Marcell McKie's corner put me 2-1 up! Get in!!!!

The game dwindled out as both sets of players were clearly very tired from a long season & I decided to give man of the match McKie a rest in the 80th minute along with Anthony Griffith to let 2 more players grace the Wembley turf.

The final whistle blew & we win the cup, amazing & something I truly didn't expect at all but am so pleased to have won!

Yeah, they stick everyone behind the ball in the game, I've seen it happen every time I get an opposition player sent off. The reason you don't get those scores in real life is because manager's just take off their top players when a result is secured, whereas obviously he saw no need to and carried on smashing them to hell. If teams used those tactics for the full 90 mins in real life against 9 men we'd see results like that no doubt.

Players join clubs way below their station all the time. They see it as a stepping stone. I certainly agree with you about loans, but certain parent clubs sending players out on loan to low divisions happens a lot. Chelsea have sent several players in the past down to League 2 level. If you look hard enough you will find players that other teams don't, true to real life.

I've hammered 7 goals past Northwich Victoria in my first season in Blue Square Premier, the reason? Well they had 11 men, I just countered their tactics properly, had a good goalkeeper, and got lucky up front with their goalkeeper making 2 mistakes. It's not unrealistic. It's just the basic difference in tactics employed by us in the game when we have a 2 man advantage and are 5 up, and the tactics a real manager would employ.

Yeah perhaps they are too common, but like I said, if he's deploying an aggressive attacking tactic that would never be used in real life by anyone but Kevin Keegan you have to accept results like this will happen.

I started my own season before I knew of this challenge, but mines harder so I think you'll approve. I took my local team Ware (who recently qualified into the fa cup 1st round! =D) (they are further below any of the leagues u listed below) and I moved them into the blue square south. After that I took away all their players, staff and finances. I then played the game.

Just wondering if this would count to your challenge, coz lets just say I've done pretty well. And if not im going to put my whole game into fm stories as I think a lot of people would enjoy it.

Much appreciated.

Giving this a break for a while. I'm finding the game far too inconsistent. One game my defenders are standing still and letting the opposition attackers just drift by them with the ball. The next, they are pushing up and catching the strikers offside 7 times in the first half highlights. And I'm not even playing offside.

If Chelsea can smash a team above them in the table 6-0 then I'm sure 12-0 against 9 men and a much lower quality squad isn't out of the realms of possibility. Only reason you don't see it in real life is because real life managers call their players off at about 5 or 6. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Hendon - Blue Square Premier League - 2009/2010 Season Review

Well I went into the season informing my board I would present a mid table position at the end of the season & thankfully I was able to do that quite easily & from the very first game it didn't look like I'd be anywhere but top half this season. I started of the season with ok form plonking myself in & around the play off spots which gave me slight hopes of maybe having another great season & challenge for promotion 2 seasons in a row. My form slowly dipped a little bit as my fixtures mounted up & my small squad couldn't cope with it & my form dropped badly to leave me in 8th place looking at the chance my play off hopes were gone but I was able to come through that with my players picking up some form & going on a great winning streak to put me firmly in with a chance of coming top 5.

As the season progressed towards the end my form was so good at one stage I really thought I may catch Stockport at the top of the table, unfortunately that wasn't to be but Oxford did catch the leaders to overtake them with only 2 games left after Stockport had been in top spot since the 5th game so they were clearly dissapointed in not holding on.

I finished the season in 3rd place on 87 points which in the end was 11 points behind the winners but I did decide to rest most my first team for the last 2 games to get them fresh for the play offs. I've had to rely this season on 5 loans from Fulham with 3 being long term & 2 being short term to help out towards the end when I got 2 long term injuries to first team members. I hope to be able to sign some quality if I get promoted to avoid having to be reliant on loans but finances are small & rep wise I have struggled to add players that I deemed were good enough.

Final Table (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/Spurs1979/FM2007/table4.jpg)

Play Off Semi-Final Leg 1 & 2

I ended up facing Halifax in my semi-final which left me quite confident as I was happy to avoid Stockport until the final as they're the only team I feared would turn me over at this stage. I was happy to find the first leg went exactly as I thought it would with a pretty dominant game but only returning a 1-0 lead from the away leg. I was pleased to come away with the advantage thanks to Nabil El Zahr's goal in the 2nd half of the game.

Leg One (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/Spurs1979/FM2007/playoff4.jpg)

The second leg came with me able to field a strong side & feeling very confident, my confidence was well founded as we took the lead in the 30th minute to a Jake Livermore screamer from 30 yards, deja vu from last seasons play offs I thought!. We dominated the rest of the half to go in 1-0 at half time. I kept things the same to ensure I didn't throw away the 2 goal lead & the second half went exactly the same as the first with me dominating play & creating chances at will. We scored our second goal in the 67th minute to put the game beyond doubt.

We totally dominated the game with 20 shots against there 2 & thoroughly deserved our 3-0 agg win which was seen by a new Hendon record home attendance of 2828.

Leg Two (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/Spurs1979/FM2007/playoff5.jpg)

Play Off Final

I was rewarded with a final against long term leades Stockport & to be honest at this stage I was very much the underdog for this game but knew my players will give 100% & that's all I can truly ask for. Exactly the same as last season I was met with enquirys for my star defender Curtis Obeng before the final which I again rebuffed with a negotiation of £1m to hopefully scare them off, timing really isn't the strong point of these teams if they want me to do a deal with them I thought!

Stockport went into the game 4/7 favs with me a 4/1 shot! I'm happy with that as there's always less pressure to perform & I believe my players do have the ability to win this game even if the bookies don't!

I was able to pick from almost a full strength squad with the only player missing being long term injury vicim Junior Dadson so was happy with that. The game kicked off at the brittania stadium & we immediately went into attack in the 3rd minute with Ademeno being put through to score but it being ruled out for offside, close but probably the right decision. We were playing great stuff & had the total upper hand for the first 20 mins & were rewarded with a goal by Nabil Al Zahr with another great header at the back post in the 22nd minute to send the Hendon fans going mental in the stands!

We kept up the pressure for & were totally outplaying the favourites Stockport & added to the lead 4 minutes later with a freak own goal, great play by James Dunne down the right flank who beat 2 men before whipping in a great cross that Stockport defender Darran Kempson could only turn into his own net for 2-0 to the dons!

The domination continued as the Hendon fans were pressing us on for a 3rd goal & we delivered in more comical fashion when Stockport defender Aaron Brown mishit a clearance straight to Hendon striker Charles Ademeno who blasted it into the top corner from the edge of the box, 3-0 & it's a stroll! The Hendon fans are cheering & the game looks all over ..........

Half time came & I as usual wanted to keep things the same so sent the same XI out with no fitness issues & only captain Jake Livermore on a yellow card. We dominate the start of the second half much the same as the first & kept forcing saves from the Stockport gk who never looked like troubling my defence. Confidence was high & I made 3 subs in the 83rd minute to let some youngsters get a chance to savour the atmosphere as the game ended 3-0 to the dons & successive promotions achieved!
Match Stats (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/Spurs1979/FM2007/playoff6.jpg)

Season Review

Well I really don't think I need to say much but a truly awesome season to win the Setanta cup & achieve promotion for the 2nd season in a row via the play offs has left me feeling pretty chuffed.

Next season will be amazingly hard though as my squad consists of very few players good enough for League 2 so a very hard summer is ahead of me, thankfull I have Fulham to help me out again so hope to be able to avoid a relegation battle.

It seems that Lloyd Saxton isn't ready for first team football yet.

At least Howarth doesn't let the opposition's keeper score (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc286/spankie_uk2002/saxtonmessesup.jpg)
Their keeper launced a long ball from just within their area and Saxton ran out to try to clear it (for no apparent reason) and it bounced inside the D and into the goal.

andy139's. Before I continue, please let me assure you that at no time did I intend to accuse you of cheating or breaking the rules in any way. I really apologise if that's how it came accross.

I'm not sayinf there is anything at all wrong with anything at all you are doing.

Signing any players that you can scout or thet you do get in on trial are the only rules relevant and I have absoltely no reason to even think for a second that any of these have been broken by you.

My comment about loan players dropping down so many divisions was a comment really aimed at the rules for next years challenge and certainly not particular to your save in any way.

Instructions as to how to upload the PKM can be found here. (http://community.sigames.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9482076743/m/9792076743) Please just post a very short description of the match description in this thread (http://community.sigames.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9482076743/m/4572063553) with the name of the file once it has been uploaded.

I can often be both sarcastic and downright bolshy at times but let me reassure you, not for a second was and of my comments meant to inferr that you were in any way cheating or breaking the rules.

Trust me. If I was to suggest that there would be absolutely no doubt & I would not be answering this because I would have placed you on my ignore list.

Just been offered a 3 year contract extension by the Hendon board with the aim of establishing myself as a blue square premiership by the end of it. Good job I've just got promoted from it as it gives me a comfort zone! http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I have only 12 players I feel ok for my squad next season so lots of work to do this summer, including getting new backroom staff to assist my playing staff well.

Halesowen Town, BSPremier - 2010/11

Massively disappointing season. This really was a lesson in football manager for me. My tactics failed, I tweaked and altered but to no avail. The players I brought in were not good enough and the loanees never quite lived up to the hope I placed on them. Coupled with this, my main man, Daryl Clare (http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/1760/clare1011nt8.jpg) had two 3 month injuries that disrupted his season. To be fair if he'd been fit all season his goals may have just kept us up.

This season I wanted to try to make it to the play-offs. Things weren't looking good as the media predicted me to be 21st. Things quickly looked different as I was undefeated the first 12 matches. My main strength this season was my team’s ability to score goals. I had two quick strikers up front scoring 82 goals together.

With two games to go I was still in first position, but I lost and Salisbury took over. They were 1 point ahead of me and we both played a draw our last match meaning I had to go to the playoffs. The semi final proved to be easy, as I slammed the other team with 8-2 over both matches. The final was a real thriller with 1-1 after 90 minutes, 2-2 after extra time and a darn bad start of my penalty shoot-out. But I won, and I feel like I deserve it.

Hendon - League 2 - 2010/2011

Season Preview

Staff Changes

Well I had a hell of a job sorting my squad out as I only had 12 players who I deemed anywhere close to good enough for league 2 & I also set about sorting my staff out also with a more appropriate standard for this league. I first set about sorting my backroom staff & had great pleasure in hiring a favourite of mine Teddy Sheringham to be my new assistant manager, he takes over from Scott Sellars who moves into a coaches role within the club. I also Dominic Matteo, Dougie Freedman, David Oldfield & Italian gk coach Ivano Bordon to give myself a decent coaching setup. I am still on the look out for some new scouts but currently there arent any suitable for what I am aspiring for so will leave my 2 scouts as they are for now & continue my search during the season.

Staff movement (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/Spurs1979/FM2007/transfers5.jpg)

Playing Staff Changes

As I have previously noted I considered myself only to have 12 players good enough for my squad this season so a big task was set about, I've recently been doing a scouting mission of UK & Ireland with a few youngsters due to be signed in the coming month but I have already added some players to the squad ready for the start of the season & I am happy to say I believe it's a decent first XI that shouldnt have any problems staying in the league.

With finances extremely low & zero funds available I was limited to free transfers & I bought in 2 more ex Tottenham youngsters to add to the 3 I had at the club from the previous season. John Obika & Adam Smith were both released by Tottenham & accepted my contract offers, I believe Adam Smith will be my first choice right back this season & John Obika will be backup but a star for the future I believe.

I also raided Tottenham for 2 more players in season long loans in the form of Danny Rose & Norwegian Dag Aleksander Olsen who are both in my plans to be first choice players in midfield & up front respectively. Three more loan players came in from my parent club Fulham in the form of goalkeeper Ricardo Batista who was at Hendon for 3 months last season to cover for an injury & impressed me so much I bought him back for a full season to fight it out for the jersey. Coming with him were young prodigy Daniel Owusu, the Ghanian U21 international surprised me somewhat by accepting my loan offer but I believe he'll be pivotal to my success this season if he settles into my midfield. The final loan signing which is a 3 month short term deal to provide cover whilst I sort out my full time contract deals is Adam Watts who again was here last season for 3 months to provide cover & impressed enough to be given another chance to get some first team football heere.

Transfers (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/Spurs1979/FM2007/transfers4.jpg)

This leaves myself with a small squad right now but I hope to add 5 or 6 youngsters to this as cover for the season & maybe a few more depending on who I can find from my scouting missions taking place right now.

Current Squad (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/Spurs1979/FM2007/squad.jpg)

Season Targets

I again didn't want to be too confident just yet with my prediction to the board as I still had a long way to go before securing the services of enough players to have a decent squad so predicted that I would simply avoid relegation this season, nothing major but hopefully enough to solidify my presence in the football league. I am pleased to say that Hendon's chairman Geoff Platt made the decision to make the club a profressional club with all staff on full time contracts, this pleases me as it enables me to bring youth through much more efficiently so will start to build a youth squad for the coming season(s).

My finances are very settled as I am again below my wage budget this season currently so am in the black to the tune of £85k which isn't much but enables me to stay comfortable for now. My club reputation has changed from Obscure to Local & I'm happy to say my own reputation has changed from unproved to regional.

Just been hit with a bit of an injury/suspension crisis. And with only 3 strikers i consider capable of scoring goals losing one of them is always a blow. Overall however we are looking strong in the league with just 1 defeat in 14 games so far (cue 5 match losing streak)

One question i do want to put out there to the few of us who have participated in all 3 of dafuges challenges so far. Have you/did you found it easier with each new game? I must admit back in the FM06 challenge i was quite lucky as i signed simply a bunch of random players and got quite a few lucky gems that propelled me up the leagues. This year however i find myself knowing exactly the sort of players i need to succeed and find myself close to the top of the league in my first season because of it.

I tend to adapt to the season as it goes along to be honest & as I said I was in the process of sorting a few deals out for backup players but I was on the eve of my first game so wanted to do the report then rather then after I had sorted a few deals out.

I've since signed 5 backup players & hopefully 2 more will come then I'll be happy with my squad for now.

I should be able to command a transfer fee of at least 300k , a lot of championship clubs has been enquring about him, and he wants to move.

So for that money the next season i would be looking to get some new players in:
1st choice-> Two strikers that can bang in the goals, maybee 1 target man

2d Choice- > a right winger to replace davison.

3rd Choice -> a goalie, my first choice has good stats but has been really inconsistent!

For the next season i hope for a top 10 place, and i think i should be able to get that with the players at my disposal

KaNovi - leave your pics in full on paint and they look bigger on the screen.

At the moment you cannot click on them to make them bigger and from experience I used to decrease the size on paint as it looked too big and got the same size as you get now

btw - well done on getting to Lg 2 so quickly

Im using Imageshack Quickshot so ill see in the program if i can make em bigger http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Have a scan through other posters images - maybe its photobucket that are bigger?
I thought it was down to how you save them as a file in paint on your pc?

I wouldn't be where I am without my loanees from Plymouth.

It really isn't taking much to upset the balance of my team yet we continue to grind out results. Without my captain Lewis Hogg and star striker Andy Caton we have played absolutely woefully in our last 3 games yet have twice snatched late draws (most recently with Cherno Samba scoring in the 95th minute) and only went down 1-0 to a late goal against a higher division side in the FA Cup. We have also pushed to the top of the league despite these continually poor performances.

SonicAD - 2009/10 Chippenham Town In-Season Update

Sitting in 3rd in the Blue Square South after 14 games, back from 1st place by just a point. Our form's been a bit bumpy, like at the end of last year, but it's starting to improve.

Over in the FA Cup, we've made it into the First Round Proper after a nice win over Margate (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y296/SonicAD/0910Goingtothe1strd.jpg). We might yet be able to go further, as we've gotten a relatively easy draw away to Blue Square North leaders Leigh RMI. Here's hoping to sneak our way into the 3rd Round and a chance at a big paycheck!

I am seriously over the card situation. We have now amassed 11 sendings off so far this season and we've only just hit the half way point.

Hendon - League 2 - 2010/2011

I started the season adding a few more free transfers to my side, none of any real note as I consider them to be young British players who can provide cover for my first team & perhaps improve into usefull players.

My first league game was a home tie against Mansfield where I was made 6/1 rank outsiders to win the game, confidence eh! Well the game was very one sided & Dag Aleksander Olsen scored the winning on his debut to get me of to a flying start in my league football carreer.

Things continued to go from strength to strength & the wins came reguarly so I found myself switching positions from 1st - 7th & after 25 league games I find myself sitting pretty in 1st place.

I've not been bltzing teams but have been extremely solid. My defence has been very tight & there are just enough goals in my forward lines to provide the wins for the team.

I can thank much to a great team ethic, my top goalscorer is Hendon favourite Charles Ademeno with 11 goals this season & he has been backed up with 10 goals a piece from loan signings Danny Rose & Dag Aleksander Olsen.

I have just signed my first player who I couldn't scout in the form if Kristian Vangen who I was able to bring in on trial & scout him to see if he was any good after he was released from his club side SK Brann in Norway. His stats aren't anything special but Teddy Sheringham assures me that Vangen can improve to be as strong as Daniel Owusu which would be great as he's a solid midfielder in this league.

We are tearing along in the fact that we are now 18 league games without defeat. BUT!!!! We also currently sit with 8 of our last 9 league matches ending in draws http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Something has to change and fast

Picked up a Manager of the Month for October (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y296/SonicAD/0910OctMotM.jpg) now, we've won 9 straight (though just barely snuck in a 4-3 victory at Eastleigh in the last match), and if the streak's going to fall anywhere, it'll be in the next 2 matches, away to 3rd place Bath, then away to BSN leader Leigh RMI in the FA Cup.
