Transfers. How do you go about it.

I buy good kids, probably a few to many, then try to get really good ones for my first team, I tend to rely on scouts and the transfer lists.

I also sell anyone I get a decent offfer for, no matter their status in my squad

It's hard to vote as I look for future stars whilst spending on the stars and bolstering the team in weaker areas. If there was an option for a combination of them 3 then I'd be +1 on it.

I sign only domestic players (unless its a bargain foreign superstar) and I get them as cheap as I possibly can and most likely free.

It depends, obviously at smaller teams you would be looking for frees and loans to cover weaker areas, whereas for bigger teams you would rather go for star signings

I do all 5, not every save as it depends who I'm managing, but i still do all 5

I tend to sign players for positions that I think my first team line-up is weak in. If I have money left, I go about ensuring I have a quality replacement for each first teamer. I'll tend to do the same in the second season, as usually there'll be one or two players who have disappointed me, or arent unhappy with their role. Then if I've got cash left, I'll look for youth players in positions that I've got an older player in. So if most of my team are under 27, but I've got a striker and a winger over that, I'll go for a couple of 16-17 year olds in those positions.

By third season at a club(usually anyway, depends on finances), I'll pretty much only sign youth players if I can get away with it. I as a rule only buy players under the age of 27. Though rules are made to be broken.

I like to mix things up a bit.

Perhaps I will buy some youth or cover a weak area.

Other seasons though I'll whip out the cash to buy a new £30million signing perhaps.

When playing a club law on cash, I'm very sober with transfer dealing, buying only players better than my current ones and very promising youngsters, usually getting them for peanuts from transfer list or from free transfer.

When I get some bigger money thought I tend to get crazy and massively overpay

I try to sign virtually every youngster with 4-5* ratings. Takes a few years but my teams usually blossom. Though I find I buy far to many DM/MCs, had about 6 at Betis and I've got 4 at Villa, from 16-32 years old!

I manage lower-league teams only at the moment, so it's generally free transfers and loan signings.

Indeed, I'm an amateur club, so I can only sign free transfers!

it really depends on the team i'm managing. but usually on the first transfer window i just make urgent signings

Depends on who i'm managing really. Say if im managing Boro, i would wheel and deal a bit. Get some loans, freebies etc, whereas someone like Barca, i wouldn't buy anyone for them unless it was absolutely necessary, as they've got a hell of a squad already.

A few of them really. I'd say buy to fill weak positions but in an established club either star player or youth.

Second option for me. At the begining I only buy players which I need.

i like raiding the transfer list and picking up bargains or poaching freebies (i'm even now for my transfers despite spending 76m in the first transfer window)

I just wait for newgens/regens and snap them up before anyone else and then..um..try to avoid relegation for 5 years until I have the best team.

I always try and strengthen the weakest part of my team. Usually the suggestions on the Team report page are good, ive picked up some pretty good cheap players that way.

I sign players that are required for weak positions and also youth players that will hopefully be my star players in the future.

I sign players that're going to bolster the team's need areas first; I'll always sign promising youth players, though (they don't really take away from the first team and can be loaned out), and if I can get a good player for free I'll always make a push for it.

At first I strengthen any positions that need it and a 'star' signing or two. I then sign youth players that will replace my team in the future and just build a youth squad
