Dividends payout- what is it?

Its a payout to shareholders only paid when the club make a profit I think. The only was to avoid/decrease is don't make a profit??

It depends on the board. When it comes to real companies the board decides on what to do with the profit. Some reinvest it some pay it out in dividends. Normally companies that pay out in dividends end up making more money in the long run.

And yes its only paid when you get a profit. Dividends ARE profits. The shareholders own the company. Its like as if you owned a small business and took the profit and put it in your personal bank account for your life (car, house, bills, etc.).

Clubs with shareholders are companies. Clubs without them have funds either reinvested or milked like Man U or Liverpool. Which is something is game fails to take into consideration (probably due to controversy or lazyness). Although some companies with shareholders like I said just opt to reinvest the money. So it might be up to the board members how much they give out if they give it out.
