5 star coaches

Recommended Posts

thanks for it but it is useless.

the formula has been changed in FM2010.

It might not be completely accurate, but it's hardly useless. I have used it as an indicator for getting coaches since FM10 came out and it has served me well. However, if you have the new one feel free to link to it ... :);).

There's some Brazilian bloke. Mahserijan or something? I think he's employed as a physio in some Brazilian team. May even be the national team? Anyway, he's the best coach I've found and he's 5-star on several training groups. Sign him asap (if you can tempt him to take a coaching job anyway!)

i saw this topic in this website but i could not find it now. but i had stored it before so i can copy.

Hello Members, Staff and Guests I would like to welcome you all to Steve and Littlefoxo’s Guide on “The Ultimate Staff Team”. The idea came about when Matty and I were talking on MSN about staff and how important they were to the success of a team and how much they are still get overlooked in Football Manager. No team in the world no matter how big or how small could survive life in the football leagues without the assistance of a team of back room staff, So we decided we would compose a list of the very best staff In England, Italy, Spain and Germany assembling the ultimate staff team available to us. We choose to load these Countries due to the sad fact that most members play their games in these countries and as the majority of players play here we decided it would be best to indeed fulfill our project in these countries.

We decided that we wanted the following setup for our staff team. We wanted one assistant manager, four physiotherapists, seventeen coaches; comprising of three goalkeeper, two fitness, four youth, two tactical, two technical and one attacking, defending and general coaches. We decided that we also wanted 10 scouts with the majority of their knowledge focused in Western Europe (England, Scotland, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal and Holland). So we set about our task of filtering through the thousands of staff and finding our team who fit in to our target numbers of staff and I think it is safe to say we are more than happy with the final product, so without further ado here are our findings.

Assistant Manager

Your assistant manager is your right hand man he will be the guy who makes the decisions you simply cant decide on or cant be bothered doing. With this in mind your assistant manager needs to be trust worthy and he needs to know what he is talking about for that reason we choose 49 year old AC Milan assistant manager Mauro Tassotti.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Italy.pngMauro Tassotti

AC Milan £1m

http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/4892/maurotassotti2.th.pnghttp://img694.imageshack.us/img694/3280/maurotassottiz.th.png

Pros. Tassotti is an awesome choice for assistant manager with 20s in both tactical knowledge nd working with youngsters he has at least the very basics of a management figure but with sub stats of determination (17) discipline (14) and motivation (18) he is firmly leaning on being the best assistant manager in the world. If your happy with just that in an assistant manager (and most of the time I would be) then your in for a pleasant surprise because Tassotti can also judge player potential(18) and manage players (17) so you have yourself a mini manager for all the times you decide to go on a mid season holiday. Tassotti also has the fact he can coach attacking (13) defending (13) mental (13) Tactical (13) and technical (13) so he can take training in an emergency. I have never ever been more willing to hand over my reserve team to a more capable man to be honest, with him I know my youth players will mingle with my experienced players just perfect bringing the best out of them all. Tassotti also has the fact that he is only 49 on his side. This man will no doubt be a very successful manager in the future I suggest you snap him up as soon as possible

Cons. The only thing I can say bad about Tassotti is the fact he will cost you an absolute fortune in wages as he understandably demands a high contract offer to leave Milan.

Physiotherapists

Your physios have the job of assessing and nurturing your injured players so they can return to full fitness in the quickest possible time. Your physio needs to have good stats in Determination, Discipline and Motivation and of course physiotherapy. (see this guide to see what the stats do) We chose the following physio’s for our dream team.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_ger.pngHans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfarth

Germany Free

http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/5399/hanswilhelmmllerwohlfarp.th.pnghttp://img694.imageshack.us/img694/8725/hanswilhelmmllerwohlfar.th.png

Pros. Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfarth is an awesome Physio with all the stats needed to be the very best with 20 Physiotherapy you would already think you have a sweet free Physio at your club but he also has the sub stats to back him up thanks to his 20 in Determination and 19 in Discipline any injured player that comes under him will be guaranteed the best treatment available and you can feel assured you will get accurate estimations on the players time to recover. Hans is the best physio I have seen on FM10, even his man management is highly acceptable so he can handle a few injured players at a time. Also Hans has a sweet 15 in motivating so when he has that young lad sitting on his bench with Cruciate Ligament damage asking what's the point ill never be the same, Hans will be able to give the player all the motivation he needs to come back better and stronger than he was before. Did I mention you will not have to pay any compensation to acquire the services of this physio

Cons. Unfortunately at 66 years old Hans wont be around for ever so you will have his services for a limited time and as he is so old im guessing he is looking for a big pay day as he is asking for high wages but to be honest if your a big club he should easily warrant his high wages with the fact you will have possibly the best physio on the game.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_England.pngGary Lewin

England Free

http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/8943/garylewin.th.pnghttp://img37.imageshack.us/img37/1776/garylewin2.th.png

Pros Gary Lewin is England’s main physio, and for many years worked for Arsenal as well. Now however he is free, and as such makes one of the best free physios on the game. He has a 20 for Physiotherapy and a 16 for Motivation, as well as a 16 for Man Management. So if a number of players have long term injuries he will keep them motivated to get back to fitness.

Cons He has fairly low discipline; this may be an issue, as players may contravene his instructions. He also has fairly low working with youngsters, who do seem to get the most injuries so this may slow their recovery, but for free he is excellent.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Italy.pngGianni Nanni

Bologna Italy £1m

http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/5412/gianninanni.th.pnghttp://img4.imageshack.us/img4/6962/gianninanni2.th.png

Pros Gianni Nanni is one of the best physios on the game. The Italian has a 20 for Physiotherapy, a motivating of 16, and a man management of 16. He is 55 so you have another 10-15 years of his knowledge and expertise, while he has a 13 in adaptability so will settle into the club fairly fast.

Cons He costs £1m, a lot for a member of staff. His discipline is just 10 too, which will slightly limit his effectiveness. Working with youngsters is also fairly low at 11, but with other physios at the club that is hardly an issue.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_por.pngRodolfo Moura

Portugal Free

http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/3219/rodolfomoura.th.pnghttp://img37.imageshack.us/img37/7364/rodolfomoura2.th.png

Pros Another free physio, with better stats than Gary Lewin, Rodolfo Moura has a Physiotherapy attribute of 20, while having a motivating of 18. Crucially he has a brilliant determination stat as well, being 20 in that area. So players will be motivated to recover as well as being determined to recover as fast as possible.

Cons His discipline isn’t as high as it could be, being 14, while his man management and working with youngsters are both 11, so he won’t be as good dealing with multiple injuries to youngsters, but that is where it is good to have a few physios. He is reasonably old as well, at 52 but you should still have 10+ seasons of him at your club.

Coaches

With a good mixture of coaches you can expect to get the best out of your playing squad. Again motivation and determination are needed to back up the coaching stats because even with the best coaching stats in the world a coach will fail if he isn’t mentally as good. We decided on a good mix of coaches and they are as follows.

Goalkeeper Coach

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_por.pngSilvino Louro

Inter £1m

http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/42/silvinolouro.th.pnghttp://img37.imageshack.us/img37/7158/silvinolouro2.th.png

Pros. Lourno is a no doubt a through and through Goalkeeper coach with his stats how they are he is a must buy for any team he will go to. With 20 in coaching goalkeepers and 16s in determination and discipline he will always get the best out of your goalkeepers. He also has a 17 in motivation and 17 in adaptability he will fit in well to your team. Lourno has 15 in working with youngsters so although he is not perfect at it he is more than adequate. The other good thing about the Italian is he still has at least 10 years in him until you have to worry about him retiring so once you have him he is yours for at least a decade.

Cons. The only thing wrong with Louro is the fact that he wants a high contract offer to leave Inter and he will cost a million pounds in compensation, but with that said if you have young goalkeepers like Alphonse Areola or Matej Delac then you will not mind paying the money for a member of staff who will get the best out of them.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_England.pngDavid Coles

Portsmouth £190k

http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/6047/davidcoles.th.pnghttp://img694.imageshack.us/img694/8519/davidcoles2n.th.png

Pros. David is exactly the same sort of coach as Lourno except he can’t work with youngsters so he will be best suited to coach goalkeepers like Ben Foster, Joe Hart or Robert Green. David will bring out the best in these sorts of goalkeepers and of course the Goalkeepers who have already his high level and need to maintain it like Casillias, Buffon and Cech. Again his stats are awesome for a Goalkeeping coach.

Cons. The only thing that is bad for Coles is the fact he can’t work with youngsters at all so if you have a really young squad David is not for you.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_fra.pngChristophe Lollichon

Chelsea French £250k

http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/6693/christophelollichon2.th.pnghttp://img694.imageshack.us/img694/4831/christophelollichon.th.png

Pros Easily the best keeper coach on the game, Lollichon has a keeper attribute of 20, Mental of 17; He is also fairly young at just 46. On the mental side, his determination is a high 17 and his discipline a very good 18. His adaptability is also a mid range 14, so he will adapt at a good rate to changing clubs.

Cons No weaknesses in his attributes, but he does want a very high wage to join any club.

Technical Coaches

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_England.pngPaul McGuinness

Man Utd England £625k

http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/862/paulmcguinness.th.pnghttp://img687.imageshack.us/img687/4508/paulmcguinness2.th.png

Pros McGuinness is one of the better Technical Coaches available. He has a technical stat of 18, while his mental is 16 and man management 17. His adaptability is 14 so he adjusts quickly to new clubs. He may also be able to coach defending, as he has a very good 19 in that attribute. He has overall good attributes with high discipline (15) and good motivation (14).

Cons His determination is 14 that is maybe the only weakness of McGuinness.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Holland.pngRene Meulensteen

Man Utd Holland £1m

http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/8931/renmeulensteen2.th.pnghttp://img37.imageshack.us/img37/1034/renmeulensteen3.th.png

Pros Another brilliant Man Utd coach and another in the technical area. Rene Meulensteen is a must have. He has 19 in his technical attribute, but maybe the gem in all his attributes is his Adaptability, a stunning 19. Technical stats generally influence attacking prowess, and with that in mind, he has 19 attacking. He has brilliant motivating (17) and determination (17), while he is very good at working with youngsters (19).

Cons There really aren’t any weaknesses to Rene Meulensteen at all.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Holland.pngRicardo Moniz

HSV Holland £75k

http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/9274/ricardomoniz.th.pnghttp://img7.imageshack.us/img7/3759/ricardomoniz2.th.png

Pros One of the best technically gifted coaches, Moniz formerly of Tottenham, is still young at 45,and has some brilliant stats. Three 20’s characterise his coaching attributes, Mental, Technical and Working with Youngsters, while his man management is 17.

Cons While brilliant on the coaching side, his mental stats let him down slightly. Adaptability of just 11, and Motivation of 13, do not help. Although his determination is a reasonable 13, and as his other stats are so high he is a very good technical coach.

Youth Team Coaches

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_sco.pngBrian McClair

Man Utd Scotland £450k

http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/3194/brianmcclair3.th.pnghttp://img694.imageshack.us/img694/2121/brianmcclair.th.png

Pros Sign him with a view to being a youth coach and you are onto a winner. McClair has a working with youngster’s stat of 19, and man management of 17. He also has a coaching ability, with his attacking being 16. However it is on the mental side where he excels. His determination is 16, Discipline 18 and Motivation 17. He also has a high Player Potential stat and this may help him focus training on those he feels have potential.

Cons If you sign him as a Youth Coach, there are very few weaknesses; the only possible one is his Adaptability although a 12 is good enough for any club.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Italy.pngMarco Rota

No Club free

http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/1637/marcorota.th.pnghttp://img691.imageshack.us/img691/8634/marcorota2.th.png

Pro. Rota is another mentally strong coach with determination (18) Discipline (18) Motivating (18) he is going to get the very best out of any youth player he even looks at let alone trains. You would think it can’t get any better but Rota can Work with youngsters (20) he is the perfect youth coach. Coaching wise Rota is awesome as well with 13 in every thing apart from coaching goalkeepers and man management(12) he can also judge players potential(17) really well so he knows which players to push . I really can’t get over how good Rota is and to top it all off he is a free transfer who wants just £2000 a week to come and make your youths awesome. Seriously I don’t know where would be better to employ Rota, as a youth team coach or as the manager of the youth team either way with him in your staff room you will not be disappointed about prospects not fulfilling their potential

Cons. Rota has absolutely nothing to bring him down I don’t think he has a single weakness

Bernhard Peters

German Hoffenheim £300k

http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/8048/bernhardpeters.th.pnghttp://img691.imageshack.us/img691/9311/bernhardpeters2.th.png

Pros One of the best members of staff on FM09 is once again amazing, Peters has a brilliant all round set of stats, the highlights being his Mental of 18, Working with Youngsters of 20. He also has a high Determination, and good tactical, fitness and man management coaching attributes. You can trust Peters to coach properly with his 20 discipline and 16 motivations too. He is also very young at just 42, so you have 20 more years at least out of him. We recommend signing him as a Youth Coach.

Cons He has one slight drawback. He has very poor tactical knowledge, but what is that to spoil one of the best staff you can get?

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Brazil.pngFabio Mahseredjian

Internacional Brazil £220k

http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/1739/fbiomahseredjian.th.pnghttp://img109.imageshack.us/img109/6453/fbiomahseredjian2.th.png

Pros Fairly cheap in terms of compensation, and a very good all round coach, Fabio was our 3rd choice as a fitness coach. He has 17 for fitness coaching, and 16 for Mental Coaching, with a Determination of 17. He also has a good Motivation of 17, and is a good physio as well at 17, so players may get injured less doing fitness training. He also has bonus stats, with tactical, technical, attacking and defending all being 16, and Working with Youngsters a very nice 18.

Cons Doesn’t take low wages, so he will cost you a bit, and he has quit a few weaknesses on the mental side. An adaptability of 6 and a discipline of 7 mean that he will take a while to settle down, and will struggle to enforce a strong training regime, but with Di Salvo around, his quality will show through.

Fitness Coaches

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Italy.pngValter Di Salvo

Italy Free

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/2508/valterdisalvo.th.pnghttp://img6.imageshack.us/img6/8978/valterdisalvo2.th.png

Pros Wow, just wow, Di Salvo formerly of Man Utd and Real Madrid is an absolute legendary fitness coach. He has a 20 fitness attribute, and 20 man management, and yet another 20 in Mental Coaching. No technical stat is under 10 except Goalkeepers, and his brilliant stats are kept up on the mental side, with 20 Motivation, 18 adaptability, 18 determination, and great scouting statistics too, this guy is a true fm legend and able to do almost anything.

Cons Simple. One word. NONE

General Coach

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Italy.pngBruno Demichelis

Chelsea Italy £1m

http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/1210/brunodemichelis.th.pnghttp://img6.imageshack.us/img6/4936/brunodemichelis2.th.png

Pros Our pick as 1st Team Coach, Demichelis gives Di Salvo a good run for his money as best coach on the game. He has 20 Fitness and 20 Mental, along with a strong Man Management of 17, so if necessary he can step in with coaching fitness, or even as assistant. It is in his mental stats though that he excels. Demichelis has 19 Determination and 16 Motivation, while his scouting stats aren’t half bad at 19 for judging ability and 20 for judging potential. His adaptability is 11, but everyone should accept that because of the quality of him. His Discipline is the final piece of the jigsaw at an awesome 20.

Cons One issue – his age, he is 61, so won’t be around forever and will need replacing. Working with Youngsters is not an issue as we want him as a First Team Coach.

Tactical Coaches

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_por.pngAndre Vilas Boas

Inter Portugal £1m

http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/2192/andrvilasboas.th.pnghttp://img20.imageshack.us/img20/2432/andrvilasboas2.th.png

Pros Our choice as a tactical coach, Vilas Boas is our youngest member of staff at just 31 years old. His tactical coaching is 17 and his knowledge 14, while his mental coaching is 15. He has a high adaptability of 16 so can change his tactical coaching for new tactics fairly easily, as well as determination of 17 and discipline of 16. Vilas Boas’s scouting is amazing as well, so he gives good coach reports.

Cons He costs a lot, but one weakness, and it’s a fairly big one, he only scores 6 in his motivation, although this is likely to improve with age.

Defensive Coach

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_England.pngWarren Joyce

Man Utd England £210k

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/589/warrenjoyce.th.pnghttp://img6.imageshack.us/img6/8360/warrenjoyce2.th.png

Pros Well, we struggled to decide on a defence coach, but we ended up choosing Warren Joyce, he has a good bunch of stats, 17 for Defence and 17 for Mental Coaching, his mental stats aren’t the worst either, Determination being 15, and Motivation 17. His Adaptability is also 15, which is fairly high and means he will adapt quickly.

Cons As such there are no cons due to him being very solid all round, just the one criticism is that he could be better overall.

Attacking Coach

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_sco.pngJoe Jordan

Tottenham England £1m

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/5724/joejordan.th.pnghttp://img6.imageshack.us/img6/2752/joejordan2.th.png

Pros Joe Jordan is our choice as an attacking coach, this was another hard position to fill. He has a very well rounded profile, with 15 for attack coaching but the stand out attribute is 20 for mental coaching. His standout mental attribute is his motivation at 17, while the rest is solid, with Determination next highest at 14.

Cons Despite how well rounded he is, he still sets you back a cool million pounds, and wants high wages too. His Adaptability could be higher, at just 11, although this is not anything of a major problem. Like Joyce just higher attributes all round would make him perfect but he is awesome already.

Tactical Coaches

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Italy.pngFranco Baldini

Free Italy

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/206/francobaldini.th.pnghttp://img29.imageshack.us/img29/8093/francobaldini2.th.png

Pros We rate this guy so highly that he was in the running for the position of assistant, but ultimately it was his lack of tactical knowledge that let him down. However he makes a more than brilliant coach, in all aspects. His Mental stats are particularly impressive, with an Adaptability of 17, a Determination of 19 and a Motivation of 19. He can also judge potential of youngster brilliantly (18) so gives a good opinion on newly promoted players from your academy. His man management is a good 20 as well, perfect for managing training.

Cons His working with youngsters is a little low, as is his tactical knowledge, and as normal for most coaches he can’t coach goalkeepers. Otherwise nothing wrong!

Scouts

Obviously without scouts you will not find the youngsters coming up through the ranks hidden at less lucrative football clubs so we assembled a small army of 10 scouts with the main knowledge being of the leagues we loaded up plus a few more western European countries. With scouts it is obviously important that the judging player ability and potential are good but it is equally important that your scout has the motivation and discipline to continue these searches when all seems bleak so once again these golden stats pop up. With the 10 scouts we choose we made sure they were very knowledgeable in the countries around us. The scouts picked will give us 100% knowledge in England, Italy, France, Spain, Peru, Holland, Sweden, Germany, Portugal and Scotland. Here they are

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Italy.pngMino Favini

Atlanta- £350k

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/6317/minofavini.th.pnghttp://img37.imageshack.us/img37/2403/minofavini2.th.png

Pros his scouting stats are almost perfect with 20 on judging player potential and 17 on judging ability but he also has 20 determination and 18 motivation. On top of that he has 20 for working with youngsters, not to mention his tactical knowledge is 17 so he knows who will fit into your team. Not just that but his Discipline levels are at 20 as well so he will stick to his assignment and find a good amount of players if they are there to be found.

Cons. He is 73 so I don't know how long you will have him for amd the other major one is he wants a large contract offer to leave Atlanta (with me at Real Madrid) so acquiring his signature may be difficult.

Best suited. Looking at his stats he is best suited to Scouting youngsters in Italy, in fact he is the ideal man for this job and a must have signing for all top teams looking for young talent.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_fra.pngZinedine Zidane

Real Madrid £1k

http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/4882/zinedinezidane.th.pnghttp://img268.imageshack.us/img268/7691/zinedinezidane2.th.png

Pros. Zidane has a lot going for him with high stats in determination, discipline, and adaptability and judging potential he makes for a good young scout; Zidane has 100% Scouting Knowledge of Italy, France and Spain so you can send him to any one of these three countries and he will find what you are looking for. You can trust Zidane to give you good comprehensive reports on the players he does find thanks to his Discipline and his Determination.

Cons. Zinedine Zidane is not the best at judging player ability so you will have to utilise him to scout for younger players as he is better at spotting potential. You may struggle to sign Zidane as he does not want to leave Real Madrid so you will have to offer him a high contract to acquire his services but if you do sign him he knows three different nations well.

Best Suited, to scout Italian, French or Spanish Under 21s competitions or to look for youth in any of these three countries. With Zidane and Flavini at your club you will find all the best young players in Italy and France or Spain so he will link into your staff room just perfectly.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Spain.pngFrancisco Cagigao

Arsenal Spain £75k

http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/4977/franciscagigao.th.pnghttp://img7.imageshack.us/img7/2656/franciscagigao2.th.png

Pros Very cheap, 20 for both scouting attributes, 19 determination as well, picking a fault is very hard. Cagigao is a brilliant scout for any team, with a full knowledge of Spain too, with some invaluable knowledge of other European countries too, as well as Argentina and Brazil.

Cons Perfect. If you are being picky you could say his motivation and adaptability aren’t top notch, but he only costs £75k!

Best Suited: Obviously being Spanish and having full stats on both scouting abilities, he is brilliantly suited to scouting Spain. Argentina and Brazil are other possibilities.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Italy.pngRoberto Bettega

No Club Free

http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/3149/robertobettega.th.pnghttp://img28.imageshack.us/img28/2028/robertobettega2.th.png

Pros. Bettega is a free scout with knowledge in Italy, Argentina Spain England, France and Brazil. He has good stats in the three major mental areas (Determination (19) Discipline (16) and Motivating (18) backed up with his ability to judge player’s ability (20) and Potential (18) he makes for another very good scout. The added bonus with Bettega is the fact he has knowledge oif tactics so he will know which players will suit the way your team play and which wont, something that’s always a nice little add on/

Cons. The only thing with Bettega is the fact he can’t work with youngsters meaning that he probably wont be able to pick out the best young players making him more suitable to scout Italian competitions or things like the world cup.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Sweden.pngTord Grip

Notts County £1m

http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/3766/tordgrip.th.pnghttp://img682.imageshack.us/img682/3584/tordgrip2.th.png

Pros. Tord Grip has 18 in both judging player potential and ability making him able to find both youths and experienced players with his adaptability at 16 he can switch from assignment to assignment without to much hassle and his determination (17) shows he is committed to getting the reports you ask for. His discipline (13) is not the highest but its not low either so he will stick to his tasks and wont go off the rails to much. As he is at Nott’s County he will go to any premiership team

Cons. Tord has two major stand out cons that nearly lost him his place in the all star dream team staff room the first is his lack of motivation (9) skills making him less bothered if he does well or not and the second is his age. At 71 Tord has had his best years and will be looking to wind up his career soon. However until that day comes he has been saved by his ability to judge players,

Pros Well, an unusual scout, in that he comes from a small nation, and he benefits by having 100% knowledge of Peru, as well as Italy. He has 17 for Scouting Ability and 20 for Scouting Potential, as well as high adaptability of 16 so he can adjust to scouting other countries fairly easily, as well as settling at new clubs easily.

Cons He has a low determination which may hinder his speed of reports, and his discipline is 10 so some may be inaccurate.

Best Suited He is best suited to scouting Italy and Peru, for youngsters as he has a high working for youngsters attribute as well at 16. A must have due to his knowledge of Peru.

No Club Holland Free

http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/6006/edvanstijn.th.pnghttp://img35.imageshack.us/img35/5489/edvanstijn2.th.png

Pros His knowledge is fantastic, with 100% knowledge of Holland, high knowledge of Belgium and England, and very good knowledge of all the Scandinavian nations. He has a 17 scouting ability and 18 scouting potential so he is well rounded. An adaptability of 12 is good enough as well for scouting different nations.

Cons He has two real weaknesses. One is his motivation, a poor 5, and the other is his discipline, which is 10, this may affect quality of reports. He is also fairly old at 64.

Best Suited He is best suited to scouting Holland, Belgium and any of the Scandinavian nations, due to his knowledge in them, and more so for scouting senior players as his working with youngsters attribute is not as high as other scouts at 14.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_Sweden.pngBjorn Andersson

Bayern Munich Sweden £170k

http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/8338/bjrnandersson.th.pnghttp://img20.imageshack.us/img20/1334/bjrnandersson2.th.png

Pros Well, he is middle aged at 57 so you get 10+ seasons out of him, and he is fully developed as a scout. He has 16 for Scouting Ability and 17 for Scouting Potential. Along with this he has a full knowledge of Sweden of Germany. His adaptability is a good 14, good enough for all clubs to wait a few months for him to settle.

Cons He wants a very high wage to leave Bayern, which is understandable, and his discipline is just 7, so quality of reports may be slightly affected.

Best Suited Easily best suited to scouting youngsters with a working with youngsters attribute of 20, Andersson would be best used to scout world u21 qualifiers, and the u18 leagues in any country. That way you are highly likely to pick up the best youngsters.

Aurelio Pereira

Sporting Lisbon Portugal £950k

Pros He has full knowledge of Portugal, 20 for judging potential and 19 for judging ability. So for finding the next Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani or Anderson, this is your man! He has a good adaptability of 14, and his motivation is a nice 17.

Cons There are some issues. His Determination is just 6, so he is unlikely to be keen to do more than a few a week, while his discipline is 10 so some reports may be poor.

Best Suited Best for scouting Youngsters (19 for working with youngsters) Pereira would be ideal for scouting for youngsters in lower Portuguese leagues, or in Brazil for gems.

http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/deity7/th_sco.pngStewart Houston

Arsenal Scotland £50k

http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/9425/stewarthouston.th.pnghttp://img37.imageshack.us/img37/9294/stewarthouston2.th.png

Pros Well there always had to be a British Scout, and we bring you one with 100% Scottish and English knowledge, with strong Republic of Ireland knowledge. He has 18 for judging both ability and potential, so makes a well rounded scout. His Determination of 17 will help him do the work he does to a very good quality, while his adaptability of 13 is adequate. He also has good working with youngsters, so is good for looking for wonderkids.

Cons The one thing that lets him down is his Motivation, at just 10 he lacks the will to do a lot of work.

Best Suited Well its fairly obvious, best at scouting the UK! Whatever you want to look for, Houston will try and find it, he has a good set of stats to help you find players.

I took Aldershot Town to 2026. I took manager role when they were in the Conference Premier and led club to the Premiership.

At the beginning, the 5 stars were... presidents, managers - not coaching staff. indeed, there were a few coaches, but not for all attributes (loaded league England, Spain, Italy, France, German, Poland) - for example, no problem with strength, but the set pieces on 5 stars it was impossible.

But after 15 years they began to disappear and coaches for 4 stars it was a huge success. Based on data from a Genie Scout - I think it was some kind of error. I do not want to call it: bug - bad associate. But the engine generation of trainers requires reflection.

The coach calculator is very useful, bookmarked for me!

I did notice however that "working with youngsters" is not highlighted. Does this mean that this attribute has no relevance to senior players? I had always assumed that this attribute was important to players 21 and younger, perhaps it only applies to youth players (<17)!

I have all he formulas if anyone wants them?

Or am I not allowed to post them?

You can if you want, but they're easily available by looking in the Tactics & Training forum, so there's no need...

The coaching stats (attacking, mental, technical, etc) for the type of coaching you want make up most of the star rating and then a combination of Determination, Level of Discipline and Motivation (DDM) make up the rest. Having good coaching stats will get you about 3.5 - 4 stars with average DDM, not sure of the exact figures and it varies for the types of training but on average a combined DDM of 45 is normally good enough to bump up the rating by a star or star and a half.
