In my current match, Catania verse Newcastle in the Champions League, the 4th official had just put up the sign for 3 minutes of extra time. During the first minute, Wilshere pulled up short and sat on his backside with the green cross above his head. The physio treated him, play restarted and I thought, well there is only a minute left, I will keep him on till half time. Little did I know that the ref could not see the little hand on his watch. He blew the whistle at 51.38 seconds played. I have personally never seen that much time extra-extra time added on in the ME before. extra 6 minutes 38 seconds, can anyone else beat that for a long first half?
