Could someone help me with the patch please?

Hey guys hoping someone will be able to help me?

I've got steam install on a pc at home but i no longer have an internet connection at home so i'm wondering is it possible to download the patch onto a memory stick/external hard drive and install it from that onto the computer?

Which version of the patch should i download-PC Boxed or PC digital?

Where will i save the patch too on my pc?

If you try to manually install the patch onto the steam version of the game, the game will think it's a boxed version you have and prompt you to insert the game disk to your cd rom drive.

So is there anyway i can update my game?

Could i transfer the steam folder from the c drive onto the external hard drive and then open steam from there on another computer download the patch and then swap the file back onto the pc?

Tbh I'm not technically minded enough to know if that will work...I only knew the answer to your previous question from reading a similar thread a while ago, but I think for Steam to apply the patch to your game on the pc without internet connection it would need to be able to connect to the internet.
