Patch Installation issue - Help?

Hi guys,

Can anyone help, I can't get the patch to install I keep getting an error detailed below:

It just wont install, FM is closed down and its driving me nuts as I play online so cant join my game!!

Have you added ".exe" (without the quotes) onto the end?

This is probably correct. I was getting exactly the same error when I downloaded the 10.2 patch via torrent. I redownloaded it via a direct link, and it worked fine.

As it was a torrent, you might not have had a torrent reader?

I do have a torrent reader. I'm well aware of how torrents work, and I downloaded all of the patches for FM09 via torrent, without any issues. I think it was just bad luck on this occasion, but now I'm inclined to just use the direct downloads, especially as it seemed to download in about of a quarter of the time it took via torrent.

I have the same problem. The file has an .exe on the end so that doesnt seem to be the problem. i have also tried both a Torrent & direct downloading.

It extracts the file fine. I get the above message half way through clicking the "update" button.

HELP!!!

if you restart your computer and try again it should work
