Comparing Players - Question

Hi.

I play 4-4-2 and I always have a backup for each position.

I was wondering how I should decide out of the 2 players for each position that gets more games and also I want to know how good my transfer players will be and if he will be a backup or starter.

Should I:

Look at player stats

Compare with another player

Hire an Assistant Manager with 20 CA and 20 PA and see the stars he gives

Hire a Scout with 20 CA and 20 PA for transfers and see stars he gives

I doubt you would need to hire both an Ass Man and a Scout, just one should do the trick. I would probably lean towards an Assistant Manager, because he can provide you an updated coach report. You should also look at stats and compare with the other player, so it is a bit of everything, really.

I would probably check the player's stats, see which one looks better in the key areas (use the attributes hint given in the tactical positions if you are confused about this), and then refer to the coach reports to see what my Ass Man thinks. If the players are very similar, you could do a physical comparison and then judge from there.
