managing a national team?

have never managed a national team from the start, can any1 provide any insight into the overal gameplay of it. is it basically just scouting players performances and playing in WCQ and the alike?

Ive only done national teams as a second to the club but when I do that my assistant gives you a weekly fixture list, so I suppose its just going to them matches looking at players etc waiting for the international window

Thats basically it, international management is still really lacking and incredibly tedious.

u get suggested squads i went russia and got to world cup semi final and lost ... i scouted players from all over the world for russia and i kept getting the same squad,

its well...dull at the best of times. A good way to advance through years with little effort, but otherwise its nowhere near as interesting as club management. The prizes can be bigger (world cup etc.), but the chances of winning these are quite low as obviously you can only pick players of one nationality. I started one save managing england but left after winning the WC. Took the vacant man city job. Now managing Italy and City together....i recommend doing it this way

it is quite challenging but it is enjoyable when you qualify for tournaments i think.

Well, the only new players you may add are talented young players at the start of the game or then good regens.
