What are the differences between steam and the normal version does steam make it the game faster or something, i no that for steam it updates the patch by it self but what are the other differences.

for fm 2010 on steam you get an extra skin but its just the fm 2009 skin

how could you possibly get online to be offline? Sounds backwards to me, and no you dont need to be online, as if there is no internet connection, then steam will automatically launch in offline mode.

Ive launched steam with no connection before, tis easy, on startup it asks about offline mode, and the only real difference are the FM09 skin and the achievements, which are like xbox gamerscore achievements, only pointless as theres no gamerscore as such!

Er.. no. If you start the game and Steam cannot detect an internet connection, it just says do you want to start in offline mode and away you go. I did exactly this yesterday on the train to London. No internet connection whatsoever, no router, nothing, and yet I happily played an hour and a half of FM

yeah, it usually works, but sometimes, especially if steam needs updating, it doesn't let you do that, it's well gay!
