Downloading 10.3 onto a memory stick

I play FM on my laptop without Internet so I need to transfer 10.3 onto my memory stick and then onto my laptop. Basically what should I do? E.g. Where should I put it?

Download it and put it in your memory stick. Insert it on your laptop. You can run the patch straight from the memory stick or copy it over to your desktop. Double click it . It will extract itself and ask for the FM installation directory(Usually it founds on its own - If not, browse and select it) and click patch. It will update the files . Takes less than 5 minutes or less.

You need to change the end of the file name to .exe so it's recognised by your computer. Then it'll install on it's own.

So I save it on my memory stick and then before I open it onto my laptop change it to .exe. Do I do this through properties after right clicking on the file?

Yeah. Drag the icon onto your desktop, right click on it, select 'Properties', change the file name, and double click on the icon.

Neither am I, mate. I tried to download the torrent patch without a torrent reader. :o

At least neither of us downloaded the 10.3 patch for FM09 and spent half an hour trying to get that to work for FM10.

Still won't do it and had open with FM on it as soon as I put it onto my laptop. Changed it to .exe and when it started FM there's no 10.3 there. WTF?

When you click 'New Game' 10.3 isn't listed as an available database?

Tbh I need to get Internet on my laptop so this will perhaps give me some I incentive to get that sorted.

It's perfectly plausable to download it to a USB and transfer it across computers. It's what I did.

Delete the patch you downloaded completely and try again.

There are 3 reasons why it can't be recognized.

1. Something happened during the download where the whole thing didn't get downloaded or part of it got corrupted. Delete and download from a different link (or same).

2. You actually do have to change the file extension to .exe (which is rare because you download the file in .exe format)

3. Try right clicking and running as administrator

Don't know what happened but it changed to an application, and now works.

Dafuges on 10.3 here I come!
