Another own goal by SI?

The hot topic is patch 10.3 and when it is out. This week, next week, next month, it is immaterial compared to the fact that it needs to be as good as 2010 can be. Any rushing and SI would be open to critisism, so it will be ready when it is ready. This patch will be what FM2010 will be judged

But to think that a small official post giving a vague update on 5 Feb is good enough for customers is just badly thought out or even just conceted. This is alongside a refusal to allow debate (this is a forum after all !!) on the subject is causing anger, with the risk that in time this will turn to apathy.

A simple update to the 5 Feb official post, saying along the lines of "still working to make it the best it can be, sorry for the delay". Does not add much but at least keeps everyone up to date. Or do SI like the Stalinist approach to debate and speculation to annoy customers? At what point does customer goodwill ebb away? Over the last couple of years, they are testing it.

The information as laid out in the 5/2/10 thread has not changed and has been confirmed by several SI staff members in the copious patch threads yesterday. They are saying it will be out late Feb/early March and nothing has changed. Threads are closed not to stifle debate, but to stop arguments, based on previous years experiences.
