GregSmith Posted February 21, 2010 Share Posted February 21, 2010 Afternoon all. As manager of Wigan Athletic in the Championship, my target was promotion. I was on course for this, and, after 43 games, sat 2nd in the table. However, to my horror, Wigan entered administration and incurred a ten point penalty, demoting me to 9th place. I then went on to lose 2 of my last 3 games and finished 12th. Because of this, my job status is now very insecure and the board are disappointed with the team's performance in the league. This has left me worried that I will be sacked and my reputation may be damaged. It was not a case of financial mismanagement on my part, as these issues were inherited by me - they long existed before I took over. Surely this is unfair and something that must be addressed?
