ThfcJoe
Don't know what forum to place this in, so I chose general discussion. What sort of attributes do players need for set pieces?? I'm not stupid, obviously for free kick's you need Free Kick Taking, and for Penalties you need Penalty Taking. But what other attributes do player's need? I don't know if im right, but these are a few of my guesses: Penalties - Penalty Taking, Composure, Technique, Finishing? Long Throws - Long Throws, Strength? Free Kicks - Free Kick Taking, Long Shots, Composure? Corners - Corners, Crossing, Passing? Also, what attributes are best for goalkeepers for saving penalties? Fabio MVP
IMO: Penalty Kicks - Penalty Kick Taking, Composure, Concentration, Finishing, Technique. Throw Ins - Thro-In Taking, Technique. Free Kicks - Free Kick Taking, Long Shots, Technique, Decisions, Creativity. Corner Kicks - Corner Kick Taking, Crossing, Technique, Decisions. As for GK's, maybe Reflexes, Decisions, Determination? Brian Shanahan
I would like to add to the list of Fabio, problably would be an advantage to have the throw PPM "long flat bullet throws" (Delap has it at game start) for the the throws (obviously), and I like to see high composure for free kicks too (well I like all my players with good composure)
SSGTroyer
GK penalty savers need One-on-Ones first and foremost, then Composure, Reflexes, and Anticipation...maybe Decisions and Acceleration, too...
Ryknow
Only seen two penatlies saved in my current save so I don't think any stats count atm. Freekicks hardly work either but last years FM all the above stats Fabio said worked well.

Gree with that too, exept mybe for One-on_ones, as i think it only matters in open play. But as Ryknow already said keepers really rarely save penalties... Penalties- Penalty Taking, Finishing, Composure Long Throws- just Long Throws+ flat bullet throw PPM, maybe Decisions Free kicks- Free Kick Taking, Technique, Decisions, Long Shots (when applicable), Composure (when applicable), Crossing (when applicable), Passing (when applicable) Corners- Corners, Crossing, Decisions, Creativity, there's another one too, might have been. Also consider the foot of the player Source- the FM07 manual. Although it doesn't mention decisions, I think it's safe to say that will be a pretty major part. SCIAG
For "penalty savers", reflexes first and foremost. Maybe a handful of other attributes would play small roles.
ThfcJoe
Do you think it would be helpful to get a good long-throw in taker? I mean, not many goals are scored from them, especially from headers (my own experience)
