Brazil Manager

Hey guys. I've been playing FM10 since the day of its release almost and I've noticed that in a lot of my saves Brazil tend to sack managers more than any other country. For example, in the last world cup I was in Brazil were top of their group by 3 points with one game to go. They must've put on a b-team for the last game as they only mustered a draw against a shocking Ghana team. Anyway, the next message I get is that "Brazil are looking for a new manager." I mean, why? They still went through top of their group after all. Surely sacking the manager was a bit harsh? It's like this on every save. On my At. Madrid save they've gone through about 8 managers and I'm only in 2014. On my other save at Bayern Munich, they've had about 20 managers and I'm in 2019. Anyway, I guess I'm just asking if anyone else has noticed this or is it just me?

I took charge of Brazil, after the previous manager was sacked, and my first game was against Argentina away in a World Cup Qualifier, and I drew 2-2 and after the game I got the message that I had been sacked and that Brazil were looking for a new manager, bit harsh I think bearing mind also that I had only taken charge 2 days before the game so I hadnt even had a chance to pick my own squad either

I think you have to win every single game to stay on as Brazil manager.

It's pretty silly, really. They're going through their managers at an alarming rate, and usually hire some nobody all the time. I've seen them fire their manager several times after a friendly draw...

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I had a similar experience where I joined Brazil at the semi-finals mid-way through the world cup, lost 2-0 to France and got sacked after 90 minutes in charge. I'm glad it's not only happening on my saves. Surely this is a bug though, right? :confused:

In the year 2022 on mine and they have had nine managers. So I would say it seems like a difficult job to keep!

It clearly needs looking at. You cant win every game, especially Brazil.

I guess there's always one exception however it is nto the norm. On most saves Brazil manager gets sacked too quickly.

It's the same here. Almost every World Cup the Brazil manager gets sacked. Also after the Copa America.

Doesn't really look like it matters if they win or not.

same with my Man Utd save, 6 or 7 seasons in and they've had about 10-12 managers, they've offered me the job twice but i've rejected it because i'm not taking it just to be sacked months later

Brazilians means business apparently

seems to have been modelled on the Brazil of the 80's (they had 7 managers in that decade)

The complete opposite of Norway then. They'll keep their coach for as long as they can no matter how rubbish he is.

i saw this problem too, they keep sacking managers all the time ... pretty weird

Yeah, Brazil expect a lot. I won the World Cup with them but was constantly being slagged off by the fans for my defensive tactics. I got knocked out of Copa America at the Quarters a year later and was sacked.

Does anyone actually know why it does this? Surely it's not "normal".

No idea myself, but i feel that it's a bit too much of it at the moment.

I got the Brazil job and won 4 friendlies without conceding. then in the copa america won all 3 league games scoring 17 and letting in none. got to the final after beating Mexico in the semis and player argentina in the final. lost it 2 - 1 in the last minute of extra time after an offside goal that was proved to be wrong after i complained. But still got sacked!

It sounds like something is up with their reputation. Seriously up. A misplaced decimal or extra zero, maybe.

I think it's a bug that makes Brazil (and some other countries) sack managers too easily (despite the rating set in the db) and hire nobodies. Hopefully it will be fixed for the next patch.

Losing to france again would be unaceptable lol im sure would want the manager to be sacked

My game is now 2022 and the Brazil manager got sacked, so they hired someone new. one day later they had replaced that guy with a new manager. seems silly.
