Need serious Mac help

So I just downloaded the demo which I will give a fair playing before buying the game out right which I am positive I will already, the problem I have is that my girlfriends computer in which the game will be played on is a mac. I have no idea how to open the game. When I try it says Quick In time can not open the file, I have no idea what quickin time has to do with it. I tried to use other programs and I cant really figure it out, can anyone tell me what program I have to use or what I have to download?

Stupid question, and I expect a stupid answer, but you did download the dmg Mac version?

Yes sir I downloaded the mac version of the game its just that she has quicken time as her default program opener. I don't know why, she doesn't know why. Not the stupid answer you were looking for, sorry!

Operating system. Should be able to access the infomation via the apple logo top left. 10.?.?

Try this. Ctrl - mouse click on the dmg icon, OpenWith, choose DiskImageMounter on the dialogue box, install. Hopefully you can set it to default as well

It's part of the Operating system. If you ctrl/click, it should appear in the OpenWith dialogue box. Does it not?

Nope it doesn't, I even typed it in to the little search thing.

And it downloaded the dmg to the desktop? Are you trying to open it via the desktop icon? Can you tell me the full file-name?

Yes it downloaded and automatically zipped.

Can you describe what it looks like?

fm2008_gold_demo.exe a dark color grey or light black screen with some writing in green which is too small for me to read.

You have the PC version. It needs to read something like fm2008_gold_demo.dmg, not .exe.

Ugh, I'm so sorry!! I swear it said mac version over at gamershell! Thank you though.

This link should work. If it is the same one you just used, then I'm at a loss. It's a gamershell issue then.

From looking at the gamershell download, it is way too big for the demo. Is it possible you downloaded both exe and dmg demos in the same zip?

Thanks you just saved me ten MORE minutes of downloading, I just started downloading it again after you told me that, the other mac doesn't work so I'm gonna just use Vanilla for now, see how that works.

Nope it was 512 or around there, I only have the one file in there, I wish I had them both. .

The vanilla downloads are 66.45MB for Mac, and just under 80MB for PC.

The strawberry downloads are 248.67MB for Mac, and 260.43MB for PC.

Why the gamershell download is over 500 MB I have no idea.

Oh, sorry, none of the links you linked me too seem to be working for me, guess its just not my day. I'm downloading the vanilla from gamershell, hopefully this one will work!
