ASTOTTI5228
I was wondering how accurate this game was compared to reality in term of how much teams earn during a season for their league position. Or for each win in the champions league? Do team really get over a million dollars per win in the champions league?
FlUoReScEnT aDoLeScEnT
I think it is indeed accruate, i remember doing some research for college into football and i remember reading the 2008-2009 uefa prize money report and for the winner they got in excess of £34M, some for the results, some for reaching stages and some for winning. Phraz
One of the two David's that run West Ham said it's 800k per place in the Premiership so there's a possible variance of around £16 million.
FlUoReScEnT aDoLeScEnT
http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/finance/index.html Basically says: £3.8m for reaching the group stage £550k for drawing a game £800k for winning a game £0 for losing Then teams that reach the last 16 get another £3m, those in the 1/4 finals get yet another £3.3m each, then £4m for the semis and either £5.2 or £9m for being the winner or the runner up respectively. So if a team wins all its games it stands to make, £32.7m before they even take into account things like ticket sales.
