FM2010 won't load/start windows7

i have played the game on my pc before yet for no reason the next day it wouldn't load up, this was couple months ago, tried reinstalling it few times with and without steam it appears in task manager processes for few seconds then disappears (same with the editor). tried different direct x downloads tried the steam issues but with no luck. pc is couple months old and top of the range with windows 7, drivers are all up to date as is the game. when it was working it was installed with steam.

go to your user programs section and locate the application logo in the FM folder. double click this and it then seems to work. you can then create a short cut to your desktop

yes done that i am reasonably familiar with the game and pc its just when you double click on it it seems like its about to load appears in task manager then disappears and then nothing, cheers any more ideas throw them my way
