Match engine autostart

is there a way to stop the match engine from starting automatically after clicking continue after team talk and opposition instructions? my computer is a little slow with FM and I often find by the time I'm on the match screen the game is already 15 minutes in.

The only way I know to stop this is to edit tactics after submitting team, just before kick off, but doing that every time is a pain and, I would imagine, is confusing for the players.

You don't actually have to "edit" the tactics. Changing one aspect of your tactics and then changing it back means you can keep the match engine from kicking off and not actually change anything. You can do this by swapping player positions and then swap them back.
