Patch 10.3 Most Improved players?

Who do you think will be the big winners in stat increases in the new patch? Im hoping Bellamy's crossing/corner ability goes up. He is better than most in the league! Also want Stokes for Hibs to get better. Go to all their home games and the boy is alot better than what fm says he is!

Bellamy? Stokes?

Really?

Stokes has 14 league goals and about the same in assists. I know its only SPL but he is better than the rubbish they have made him. Also Bellamy has been taking wide freekicks and corners for Man City and is delivery is excellent.

Who do you think should be improved then?

I'd rather they just concentrate on fixing bugs, rather than messing about with entirely subjective matters like wether a Slovenian 2nd division squad player should have a few extra points in workrate.

Do you not think SI have enough people to try and do everything to make the game better?

I'm pretty sure only glaring mistakes in the data end up fixed, one or two players per team at the most.

I know that the Verminator is due a fair boost though, as the Ajax researcher didn't rate him nearly highly enough considering the impact he's made at Arsenal.

Abou Diaby, Darren Bent, Vermaelen

I totally agree with you here. Bent has to be better, everywhere he has played he has scored. Never really had a slump in form much. Just feel managers dont like his face. Only guessing here but he could be a party pornstar ***** that stumbles his way through training but produces when he needs to :D

Going by the fact that each release of FM seems to be more bug-ridden than the last I'd say no. Couple that with the relatively trivial yet irritating bugs (like the "was clearly obsructed" commentary bug) which somehow make it through 2 or more versions I'd say they definitely don't have enough testing, bug-hunting, or time between releases.

As Postie rightly points out, player abilities are a matter for researchers, I'd be quite happy for SI to leave changes to player stats until the inevitable release of FM2011 in October, if it means I can play a relatively bug free FM2010 after the 10.3 patch.

Oh, and just to stay on topic with the OP, Jimmy Bullard needs 20's for everything, well....... maybe get away with injury proneness 19 :)

The bugs are dealt with by the SI coders, while the database issues are dealt with by the researchers, so the former doens't really affect the latter (and vice-versa).

Good point, and one which I shall have to concede defeat on, however, I'd imagine the people who are still struggling to get the game to run for more than 5 mins without keeling over or eating gargantuan amounts of RAM would be hopping mad if they thought ANY time was being given to amending player stats :D

3 games?

That really makes a difference to a players true ability? :thdn:

It's not just these three games. He wasn't as good as the last season, and when he played for Zenit and Russia in European Championship.

Anyway, let's talk about some far more better players and give Rooney some boost. ;)

One game makes Nani potentially world class.

Biggest changers will probably be Bellamy and Lukaku.

At Reading, I'm hoping for a rise for Gylfi Sigurdsson, and a decrease for pretty much everyone else.

Are you sure it's one?

Because he's moving to United.

So of course that makes him incredible.

No, it's because he played well in every game he played this season. And he has improved from the last season a lot.

After all, even what you said makes sense. ;)

Wayne Rooney by a mile. Anticipation 14 for Wayne Rooney while Tevez has Anticipation 18 has to be the joke of the season so far for SI.

Yes that is correct. According to SI Carlos Tevez can read the game better than Wayne Rooney.

And apparently he can Cross better.

Tevez reads the game better than Rooney and can deliver better from wide areas. And his Movement and Composure is better.

Tevez, the blinded Rhino, the guy that couldn't spot a forward pass in his entire United career, the guy that gives Rugby Football a new lease of life in English Association Football, is better than Rooney in the hole and at delivering the ball from wide positions.

Hey look, apparently Tevez is better at dribbling than Berbatov. Apparently he anticipates play better than Berbatov. Apparently he is only slightly less Creative with his ball use than Berbatov. Apparently he is only 2 points stronger than Berbatov.

Apparently SI no longer watch football. Apparently their researchers are a joke. Apparently last season didn't happen.

I do love you sometimes, but not the most of times.

Anyway I love you this time.

Pretty certain it's the researchers and not SI who have judged all those that you mentioned.

Sorry if I just shat on your parade of insults or anything.

Nah not at all. I know SI are busy and probably most of them are into computers and Star Trek and heavy metal more than football.

Great game, some fundamentally shocking attributes between certain players.

Carrick & Fletcher.

Disagree. Carrick and Fletcher look excellently balance. Fletcher is one of the hardest working and intelligent and calm "active" midfielders in the game. Did a great job with Fletcher, but I think the United researcher had a massive love interest in Tevez.

I agree that Rooney is underrated but you're also underrating Tevez, he's a very good player, though maybe slightly overrated in a few of his mental attributes.

Tevez and Rooney PA should be 190 - They are both World Class to be legends... Tevez should have stayed .. lol

Tévez simply rapes this patch because his off-the-ball movement is so good - any tough striker with this level of movement works really well. I think some of his movement will go down in this patch, and will be transferred to some other attributes instead.

Song might get worse if his speed gets a minor decrement (I think he's a tad too quick right now), but this may also go into other attributes.

Vermaelen will probably get a small boost reflecting a decent start to his Arsenal career, but I think it could be a rebalancing rather than upgrade.

I agree i think Vermaelen will get a boost , Tevez i think has a workrate that is 2nd to none.. Him and Rooney work so hard for the team its crazy .

But its true they loved making him that good in the game ...
