Play Up Pompey!
Has anyone ever had a player retire because of a serious injury? I just found this in my inbox and now I could be losing my best keeper.
ArsenalFan7
He's 40 he should be retiring already as it is. Shame for you though I guess and no I've never had this
Marshdweller
There was one version of the game (I think it might have been FM06 or 07) where Keiron Dyer always seemed to retire at about 28 due to recurring injuries. There were several injury-prone real players who quit in that particular version if I remember correctly.

x42bn6
Several. Once had a 36-year-old regen D C/DM retire after he did his cruciate (8 months). Made up his decision while injured. Was gutted as he could hit a ball with ridiculous venom and accuracy even if he was slower than Andy Reid crawling backwards.
Eken10
Had my super talent Millan retiring after this on FM07
aza
Van Der Sar, He is 40 out for about 5 months with a leg problem. Although to be honest it could be cause he was too old. Tried to make him reconsider he said no. Dissapointing but Ben Foster, Scott Carson and Robert Enke will have cover. Scott Carson is on loan at Milan though with a view of making it permanent. Play Up Pompey!
My only cover for David James is Asmir Begovic but I've just managed to sign Diego Benaglio on transfer deadline day.
cgonzalez
All the times I've played Begovic he's been excellent... I also remember the sort of common player retirements on earlier versions.

Ty
You shouldn't be playing James at 40 anyway He starts getting worse at 39.
Jonno Wilson
I have NEVER in all my time had that. I would imagine it is built in the game as a very very rare thing.
