So what's your favourite part of the season?

Mine is the start of the new season - you know when the regens start coming through. Man I love that bit and hoping that I get a top player in my batch of Youth players.

So what's yours and why?

The final stretch of the season. Pushing for the domestic league title and final rounds of the CL.

my favourite part is the beggining of feb and running to the end of the season, you get all of the cup finals coming, and the final strech to get what you are trying to achieve. i think a few people might pick January as there favourite time as they get games and a chance to sign players.

Has to be the start of the season for me. It's great giving new players debuts and seeing how they perform for you.

It's usually the last few weeks of the season. Where you can go from challenging for the treble, to losing all of it. It's quite exciting.

Febuary to Septembre

The start of the season, being able to buy somenew players and get rid of the deadwood. To see if any youth players can make it as part of the first team and to get an idea of what positions you can or cannot play.

end of the season for defonate, pre season i s my least favourite.

The last 5 matches or so, especially in lower leagues where its a question of can I hold on to auto promotion/nick a play off spot/stay up?

Definitely the bit between the end of the last season and the start of the new one.

The bit where I don't get a new stadium or a son year after year.

I quite like the start of the season where hopefully the new players you bought play well, and the team starts the season in a good way (hopefully).

I also love the beginning, signing new players and giving them that all important debut match

I would agree, the beginning of the season, the flurry of transfer deals, and the prospect of landing a huge signing and/or getting a superb youth prospect.

January onwards, its trophy time (hopefully)!

Pre Season

For me it's June/July when I get my transfer budget and start looking at new signings. Always exciting.

Squad number selection day.

I get very disappointed when my "son" doesn't come through as well! I've got the stadium named after me so thats one thing off the list, two more things are to get a son come through and also to see Roman sell MY Chelsea!

The part where the footballer of the season gets announced.

Pre-season, from the end of the last game to the close of the transfer window.

The summer:

Usually already comfortably leading the league, I can then concentrate on qualifying for the Champions League, while dealing with the longest and most important part of the transfer market.

In with new players, out with the deadwood and with the aging guys, loaning out the youngsters...

The transfer market - although specifically the summer one, as I don't buy much in January - and the next few matches after they close to check out all the signings you bought!

December strangely enough. The games come thick and fast. Love the boxing day/new years day/first saturday in January matches. And all the planning for the Jan transfer window to ship out players with 6 months on their contracts for a fee, bringing in players to patch things up, and then loaning a few to cover injuries. Busy busy busy.

The end of the season and the transfer window periods. The new youths join the youth team and I look over the scouting reports of countless players to hopefully find that next wonderkid () to sign.

The summer window, my favourite part of the game is checking out new players and the whole buying/bargaining thing. It's quality when you get your man and you get to see him wearing the shirt

Has to be January,great time to strengthen the squad, and also the game gets faster after that month

I always get really excited in the buildup to the season. Once I have made my signings and got my batch of youngsters through (which I love), I can't wait for the season to begin! Most times if it is near the start of the season, I will stay up that extra hour or four to play my first game!

I also equally love the run towards the end of the season though. Playing the big games, cup quarter-finals and onwards, title deciders, etc. LOVE IT

I would have to agree with this. I also quite like the period around Xmas because your new players are ususally bedded down and gelled by that time and the flurry of games (in the English leagues at least) can really define how your season is going to end up.

Mine would be the summer transfer window and the slog at the end of the season where the whole season is decided. Remember its a marathon not a sprint so when you find yourself cruising come mid Jan-Feb theres always that chance the team becomes complacent and then panic sets in to change things round as the gap closes in on you. I love it even though its painful at times.
