Re-installing through Steam

Hey guys,

Just a few quick questions about Re-installing. I recently found out about the achievements section on steam which I think is a great idea and will add a lot more playability to my game. Problem is when I installed the game I had just moved and didn't have the internet so I installed offline off the disc.

My question is what is the easiest way to reinstall through steam so I can access the achievements? Also will this effect any of my save games and will I need to install the patches again?

Back up your save games.

Then just uninstall (might want to reboot) then reinstall through steam. Steam will automatically patch the game for you, and your save games will work fine after you copy them into wherever they have to go.
