robertcornell68
Simple question: What do you do when a player is unhappy due to lack of football? Ignore him? Give him a few games to shut him up? Put him on the Transfer List?
Death.
If he's a reasonably important player, despite not being a starter, i'll make a point of playing him more. If he's not an important player, i'll ignore him ... and let him fester.
roe
Depends on the player. Once I've made the team 'mine' (after about a year of managing the club and signing players/keeping the ones that I want), nearly all of my players know what I want from them and very few have ever complained of a 'lack of football', apart from the odd player who knows I don't want to keep him. If I was newish to a team and a player was unhappy with a lack of football, I'd assess his attributes, personality and form in reserve games and then see if I want to play him or not.. usually not. WeeScotsPaul
I completely ignore him. There's a reason why other people are being picked ahead of him. He's rubbish and they are better. He can complain all he likes, I don't care, because he will probably be on his way out of the club soon.
CarlHighfield
I start playing him to shut him up.
Wee Aja
If one of my players is moaning about a lack of football, it means I'm not playing him because I don't rate him. If he was great he wouldn't have anything to moan about. So I ignore him.
Paggioram
I always get this with my back up keepers who are on the bench in case something happens to my number one. I always tell them to do well in Training but they only play in cups once I have matched the boards expectations or if my keeper is injured or suspended. dangerpuss
I usually tell them to shut up and that works better than anything else. It's that "I pick the team" line. This is only when he complains to the media.
Koki
If he wasn't considered a part of the team, he would not be at the club. So I give him a few matches to shup up.
Seba1980
I very rarely get this these days as i'm running with such a slim line squad. I think i have 19 in my first team now which means that there are no players that don't get played much.
edgar555
I'm the boss, I pick the team, so the player can shove it and if they're that unhappy they can request a transfer. Chances are there's a very good reason they aren't in the team.
TheMister
If he wasn't considered a part of the team, he would not be at the club. So I give him a few matches to shup up. Exactly. Well nearly, in my experience - I would say part of the squad. Let's assume he's a back-up player I've bought (not someone waiting to exit the club after you've taken over) - he's got to get a game here and there, otherwise I'd just end up rotating back-up players on the transfer market every season, and have to put up with squad harmony falling along with it. jayahr
It depends. I will certainly NOT give him games for moaning if he isn't good enough. Either he needs to be patient or he is listed in case he's impatient and moaning.
