Increasing Attendance

I am just wondering if there is another way, besides just having success in cups and such, to increase the amount of spectators for each match?

I am currently gaining a meager 100 extra each year, having just gotten past 1000, but would love to speed up the process, especially if I am to get even a tiny bit close to Linfield, who currently get over 6000.

afaik the only way to make people go to the stadium is by winning matches - it should also include signing a high profile player for your team as well imo (at least for a couple of weeks) but don't know if this is the case.
