New Patch

Recommended Posts

Probably around the middle of this month but no one knows.

People are pretty fed up with this topic coming up but what do they expect? A post-window update is due and of course people are wondering when it's coming, but 99% of people don't hang out on these forums all day so they don't know that it's been talked to death.

There should be a sticky saying "10.3 is expected in February, no expect date is known yet" at least. Some info on changes other than the database would also be nice but with nothing, well, of course the forum's going to have loads of occasional visitors wanting to know what's going on. The search facility isn't much use either, especially as there's no way of knowing if resulting information is the latest available.

If the same topic keeps on coming up, perhaps forum regulars should get off their high-horses and realise there's a communication problem - not a few isolated incidents of lazy people but an on-going problem that if you aren't on the forum several times a day (the OP averages about 3 posts a month), there's no reliable data.

SI aren't half slow, there was not alot of transfer activity in January and any other game improvements could have been done before.

And if they rush it and its wrong, what will happen then? These forums will be ablaze with 'SI are rubbish' threads. It'll be ready when its ready. Patience is a virtue.

Fair enough. Good communication is key and will probably lessen / consolidate such posts.

Not demanding an exact date but whereabouts of release e.g. late Feb / early March. I don't think it would be an unreasonable request.

SI have repeatedly said that the patch will be out after the transfer window closes and probably around mid February- untill it is ready there will be no other information.

If there was a sticky at the top of the forum, I wonder how many would read it and how many would just post anyway?
