joshb729 Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 I just got promoted to the Premiership with Eastleight, I think the year was 2026/27. Anyway. I got this transfer kitty and I spot this superstar Mexican striker who is an off the charts superstar. He's owned by Necaxa but is currently on loan at New York Red Bulls for thr 2026 MLS Season. Anyway.. I'm teetering on the brink of relegation. I just need one bigtime striker at the break and I'm confident I can stay up. I blow my entire transfer budget on him ($15m+) and sign him to a deal. He arrives in Eastleigh on Jan 1st, 2027. Unfortunantly I then find out that he's ineligible for the 2026/27 season because a player can't play for 3 clubs in the same season, and apparently he did. Needless to say, I went absolute bonkers when I found out I couldn't play the guy who was to keep me in the Premiership. I got relegated and started a new save (Couldn't afford his wages in the Championship). It really ruined that entire save and I haven't been back to it since. james170288 Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 i have had similar things, not nearly that bad, but i always check the "small print" at the bottom of the offer contract screen to see if there are any restrictions like that. harsh to get that far into a game to have that ruin it. where did you start your new save?
