Dan0r
I would like to see the option to tell any of my players not or make sure to get booked. "Dont get a yellow card, I really need you in the forthcoming weeks" "Try to get booked late in the game, u missing out the next game is the most convenient"
roo86
Yes i see what you mean but just put the player(s) on easy tackling or take them off

Can you really see a top-flight manager going to one of his players and telling him that?
ManUTactician247
Does this happen irl? Can you really see a top-flight manager going to one of his players and telling him that? maybe if they wanted to make sure he was available in 2 matches time eg. if you were Man U and your next matches were Burnley (home) and Chelsea (away) and Rooney was 1 yellow away from suspension, tell him to get booked so he misses the match against Burnley and can play against Chelsea rather than risk him getting booked against Burnley and missing the match against Chelsea
Peregrine
Does this happen irl? Can you really see a top-flight manager going to one of his players and telling him that? It happens all the time, particularly in the group stages of international knock-out tournaments like the CL or the World Cup. Imagine that your team is in the Champions League group stage, just about to play their fifth game, and guaranteed to qualify for the first knock-out round if they get a positive result, rendering the final game of the group meaningless. One of your key players has two bookings already, and a third rules him out for a game. Surely you'd much rather have your player get himself booked and suspended for that group stage game than in, say, the quarter-finals or semi-finals of the tournament? Bookings are a tactical part of the game too.
cato
Does this happen irl? Can you really see a top-flight manager going to one of his players and telling him that? Yeah, its happened it the past. Beckham done it for England because he Injured himself during a game so got himself booked so he would miss the game as it would count towards a suspension some links for other cases of deliberate bookings http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/internationals/blatter-demands-fa-meeting-over-beckhams-deliberate-booking-543605.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/3736448.stm http://www.goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2009/10/09/1550760/carles-puyol-wants-to-earn-deliberate-booking-for-spain http://english.cri.cn/2886/2008/12/12/53s432222.htm

Dan0r
Yes i see what you mean but just put the player(s) on easy tackling or take them off That's not a solution as I want reality. These talks are more the common and should/could be implemented in FM2011.
Frame
It happens all the time, particularly in the group stages of international knock-out tournaments like the CL or the World Cup. It never happens in the World Cup group stages. The cards are erased after the group stages in the World Cup.
swed151
What if the player screws up and just gets sent straight off with a red?

Rohkey
I agree, players in the game need to be more intelligent. I understand we're coaching, but when it's the 90th minute, you're up by 3 goals, and a player gets a yellow card and gets suspended for 3 matches (Essien), it's complete idiocy. We shouldn't have to coddle the players and tell them every little detail. Also when up by a goal in a huge game in stoppage time, setting time wasting to max, etc etc, I shouldn't have players rushing up and taking long shots right into the keeper for no reason. The players should be smart enough to time waste by going to the corner and doing some fancy keep away, or just slowing down his run and not giving up possession right away. Eats me up.. Thrustking56
I sometimes feel tackle hard isnt enough Telling the player hes free to get booked for tackling would be useful late in games to help prevent goals.
dontask
i agree with this. im sure it happens all the time. i like the fact as well IRL how many players get sent off the week before christmas so they can have the holiday period off!
Wee Lad
This feature is present. You set individual instructions to tackling "more cautious."
phnompenhandy
The game has the right balance. You can instruct them to stay on their feet or put the boot in. Whether they follow you or not depends on their personality, which is as it should be.
