To be fair, there's still 8 of the original first 11 in mine (plus Insua, Aquilani and Kuyt on the bench) - it's the subs that make it. For instance, I had Torres injured for 4 months in 09/10 season, but had Dzeko and Gabby to compensate. Similarly, Dzeko was injured this season for the same length of time (might even have been the same injury - torn hamstring) and Torres and Gabby stepped up again. I bought Douglas Costa and Alex Teixeira that recently joined them for real and that set me back £18.5m, but both are away on loans because they were gurning about not settling into the country (despite having several Brazilian teammates). I managed to get back £3.5m combined for just half a seasons loan for them both though! All in all I've received £29m back for transfer fees and didn't spend a penny in January, so I've only lost £6m and have £25m left to spend if I wish. We're easily going to win the league this season and facing Bayern in the UCL Qtr's next which was a pretty good draw and should earn me a pretty penny. I very much like being a wheeler-dealer in my saves, I got through a fair few seasons with FM09 as Man City, and despite having the huge financial muscle to fall back on I never once got an extra handout. The challenge for me with the big clubs isn't league domination or champions league success, but trying to combine that with making a lot of money. I tried to save enough for a new stadium with Man City, as they couldn't expand their stadium, but despite my best efforts making plenty of money from transfers every year I never managed to achieve it before FM10 came out. Everyone else has been picked up on a free, except for Steven Ferguson whom I inherited from the previous manager.
