Away form

i seem to suck when i'm away but decent when home. is there anything i can do or am i just getting unlucky? Is it maybe just playing hard teams away, 3 months in my season?

Oh yes i remember on FM09, it was hard to do well away from home. The home advantage seemed massive on FM09, its better on FM10 though.

Try asking in the tactics forum, you will get some good advise on how to set your team up away from home, let them know your playing FM09.

Try playing tight and on the counter away from home. Employ a DM aswell. Think about it IRL, teams that play away often try to stifle the home team and sneak one on the break, unless your a big team of course.

however i manage a BSS team and don't own a DM, nor would that work well with the team
