Deleting the cache files on XP?

For some reason FM is going slow on my desktop XP.

It was fine before. Now it freezes everytime I go into a players profile and click any of the tabs in there.

On Vista deleting the cache works. Now I can't find the cache files. It doesn't appear to be on the location stated below.

I found the app data file>SI folder but there is no cache files. Not like the one in vista anyway. Just these files which I deleted but that doesn't seem to solve it.

To do this follow either of these paths depending on your Operating System. I wanna see if

Windows XP:

C:\Users\<User Name\App Data\

Vista and 7:

C:\Users\<User Name>\App Data\Roaming

Once you can see inside those folders delete the Sports Interactive Folder.

If you can’t see those folders you will have to make “Hidden” files viewable.

For Vista and 7:

In a window, go to 'Organize'->'Folder and Search Options'->'View'-> and select 'Show hidden files and folders'.

For XP:

Make sure you are able to see hidden folders:

When in a window, go to 'Tools'->'Folder Options'->'View'-> and make sure 'Show hidden files and folders' is selected.

does deleting the cache have any effect on the game?

No.

I think the cache files are just duplicated files that has built up hence making the game slow to load.

It's still slow I delete the files (see screenshot) as instructed and it's still slow. Only happened this week. No idea why.

C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data
