Network game play on server pc

OK, I hope I can explain this proper.

I play a game with a mate on over the internet.

I have a PC wich is the server.

Now I also have a laptop.

The thing we tried but did not work was the following. I turned on the server and loaded the saved game.

I connected with my laptop to the server and took control of my team.

My mate did exactly the same thing and took control of his team.

Now we both pressed on Continu but the game didn't go forward.

I needed to push continu on the server.

How come? Am I doing something wrong? Setting perhapse?

try having auto continue set on the server pc/laptop as that might help
