Part Exchanges

Is it a long-standing bug with part exchanges or am I doing something wrong?

A perfect example just happened, I offered £3m plus a player for a defender. The club accept but my player won't go.

They want £8m for the defender and will only pay £1.6m for my player. If I sell him normally, he goes to the club.

Any way around this?

Try setting him to not needed?

It's very rare i've made a Part Exchange deal, infact, i think i've only ever done it once.... but what a deal!

£6.75 million and Ryan Donaldson, for Nuri Sahin! I'd unsettled Sahin and his contract had a year left on it, Dortmund? were interested in Donaldson and i suggest a straight swap and they came back with that. Happy days!

I just completed a part exchange. Got a regen defender for 17.25M + Vergard Forren. Forren didn't want to go at first, but he he changed his mind when I set his status to 'Not Needed'.

Yeah set the player to not needed, Sometimes if they accept my offer, i withdraw it.

Then set the player to not needed and offer him mutual termination to make him really unhappy, then i make the bid again.

But sometimes a player just won't go no matter what, they will keep saying they want a more important role in the team and better basic salary than what the AI is offering...

Frustrating when that happens.

I think it's quite difficult to get PEx to happen. Takes quite a lot of luck. Think I've only pulled off one successfully. But setting status to not needed will certainly aid your player moving.
