Downloaded Patch 10.2 but confused???

I've just downloaded patch 10.2 for Football manager 2010 then went to load my game went to preferences and it still said version 1.0, I have fusion as my skin and looking for the background pictures to work.

Any help people

Have you run the patch before loading your game up?? if not do this and you should be right.

no it doesnt even come up on version before loading game, should I download again??

and do I have to do something once its been downloaded??

You will have to double click the patch first to install it, or extract it, or whatever.

No didnt use steam, and I've found the one I downloaded, do I have to put it in a certain folder for it to work??

its says "extract to FM2010_v10.2.0_Mac_Patch" this that what I click on???

Just double click the patch first then an extracter should open once that's finished you should be able to click a button that says patch. Do this and your game will be patched

Just to check, but you did download the right patch for you computer. The mac version?

As I have a laptop I downloaded the Mac version (boxed), but im gonna give it another try later. Could someone give me a step by step what I have to do for it to work in my game. Would be most appreciated????

Do you have a Apple computer (Mac) or a PC?

you need MAC version only if you have a Mac computer

In other cases if you have a PC (HP, Fujitsu, Dell, Lenovo, Asus etc.) you should download the PC version.

I have a relatively new Acer Laptop so the MAC version would be the one to download right?

Some of the patches require .exe to be added to the end of the file name.

Try this.

right iv downloaded the pc version it went on to winzip self extractor which seems to be completed, now what do I do?

double click on the .exe file to run the patch programme, and follow the steps from there.
