Giant Ant With a Gun
I'd like to see the location and status of a football club have a role in how many new players are available to it. Especially in lower league management. Does it make sense for a lower league player based in London to drop everything and head for Scotland to play for a crappy lower league Scottish team? Remember, you're only offering a part-time contract in such a case. Maybe £50 a week. It's not realistic for him to agree. There is a crazy amount of upheaval involved when a player moves to a new club. I think that lower league clubs should have their scouting restricted to local and regional areas. pelicanstuff
The location does affect the willingness of a player to move as towns have an attractiveness rating in the database. However, this should probably have more effect than it currently does at a lower level, particularly for players moving long distances.
hitemfrank
Another issue is that you can offer contracts below the national mimimum wage for full time players. This alone is an issue let alone combining it with asking players to move halfway across a country or further.
Giant Ant With a Gun
I think this is a major issue in the game. I'm surprised more people don't have any input.
MillwallLion08
I was playing my Darlington save yesterday when I bid for Oldham's Danny Whittaker. He was on the transfer list, I offered him the contract he wanted, and then at the last minute Exeter came in for him. He accepted their offer saying he was looking forward to moving to a more "Metropolitian area"
Nobby_McDonald
Exeter is a city, so it's certainly metropolitan. I would guess it's bigger than Darlington is too.

Pangaea
It's possible to sign players to England from Northern Ireland for 25 a week for example. I wish that wasn't possible. Wages in general at this low level should be higher actually. And some other figures much lower.
