Youth Development Advice

Recommended Posts

For my youth team, I've hired a youth coach with:

- Man handling: 17

- Working with youngster:20

- Motivating: 14

- Determination: 14

- Judging PA: 20

- Judging CA: 19

- Discipline: 16

- Tactical knowledge: 15

This gives him the following:

- Club players knowledge: irrelevant

- Man handling: around 75%

- Recruitment: 100%

- Player future: above 90%

- Tactical: around 75%

- Training: around 40%

- Youth development: 100%

I just hope the above is translated correctly as I don't play with the English version.

The "Youth development" is probably based on the "Working with youngster" and a bit on "Judging player potential" as I've checked another coach and the "Working with youngster" seems to have an important part in the % but it's not the only attribute (the coach had 10 in "Working with youngster" so his "Youth development" should be 50% but his "Judging PA" was of 9, and thus his "Youth development" was slightly under the 50%).

I just hope that's the kind of info you were looking for.

when can i start playing a youth player every game without him getting burnt out? i have a 17yr who i think he is actually my best player but i dont want to ruin him

EDIT: This has nothing to do with the actual question^^

In general, if he's good enough, he's old enough. But don't play him, when he is tired. If you notice that his avg rating is very low (= he isn't prepared for that level of football) or he can't deal with the media pressure, you should consider putting him into the reserve team.
