Coop
I seem to score a lot of goals from offside positions. What attributes would you recommend in a player to stop him being caught offside as often?
jamesberner
It's mainly down to you're tactics
robbert_o154
Good anticipation would be a good start. Erm, can't really think of anything else, to tell you the truth.
Tomer
It's mainly down to you're tactics That's not what he's asking. If I look at the attributes, I think Off the Ball, Decisions and Anticipation will help.
Hershie
That's not what he's asking. If I look at the attributes, I think Off the Ball, Decisions and Anticipation will help. Acceleration and pace could also help, in that a player may HAVE to start his run early if he can't get to the ball otherwise.
phnompenhandy
Tomer is correct - it's mental attributes that are important. However jamesberner is correct too - it could be your fault if you set his mentality too high. Drop a click or two, or change attack role to support. SCIAG
Anticipation is the main one, others could have and effect.
JoeLatics
There's a PPM about it, isn't there?
SCIAG
There's a PPM about it, isn't there? That only makes them be offside more
dontask
off the ball???
KrookDale
I actually thought positioning was the main stat to avoid it, but that's completely wrong it seems?
Tomer
off the ball??? Bravo, what a nice post this is.
Tomer
I actually thought positioning was the main stat to avoid it, but that's completely wrong it seems? I read somewhere on this board that positioning is a defence-related stat.
Scoham
I read somewhere on this board that positioning is a defence-related stat. It is. And whoever posted anticipation and off the ball is correct, possibly decisions (not really sure) and of course tactics, PPMs, acceleration and pace could have some effect. Tomer
And whoever posted anticipation and off the ball is correct That was me

dassyboy
Off the ball, anticipation and decisions. Off the ball is probably most important?
robbert_o154
Off the ball is the most important to get into a good scoring position. I'd guess that in this case anticipation is the most important as the player needs to judge when to start his run (i.e. not too early).
